Nancy took great care of Basil and Siena. She sent both photos and videos, which we really appreciated. She also took good care of the house and plants. We did have a slight communication breakdown on the day we were due back. On the detailed list of instructions left on the refrigerator was the flight information and when we planned on being back at the house. Nancy sent us an early morning text when we were two time zones away letting us know she would be leaving early. It would have left the dogs in the house for over 11 hours. She said her plans were set and couldn’t be modified. Thankfully we were able to have someone come by the house to let the dogs out so there was only about five hours before we got home from the airport. Overall we still give Nancy a high rating since ultimately it’s how the dogs were cared for.
Eliza sat for us for an entire week and took great care of our two cats. She is a great communicator (very important!), clean, and obviously enjoyed spending time with the kitties. We would recommend her and invite her into our home again.
Debbie is a kind person and the day of my arrival, we were able to talk and also go through everything needed during the sit, specially about Luna’s walks, food and her lovely way of playing with her tennis balls. Debbie lives in a nice house with her son, who was also staying there during my sit. This was not communicated on the listing or to me, up until a couple of days before the sit, which is the main reason for my 3-star review. Luna is a wonderful dog, even if she can look menacing to strangers because of being a big German Shepherd, she is the most lovely girl and enjoys spending her days resting, going for walks and playing. She is indeed reactive with other dogs and cats, but you can control her very easily with a little strength through her leash, so she just forgets about it and move on with her walk. She is also very good with her food and does not bark at all when inside the house, and she always enjoys a good scratch on the head and trying to catch flies. Summer can affect her, of course, but it was good for her to have the A/C for those very hot days and always her water to drink, so she was a great companion to have while I was working remotely. And did I mention she knows many tricks? A 5-star dog!
