Cat Sitters in Barrowden

Michelle of Reservoir Dogs Rutland looked after three rather bouncy dogs one afternoon for me (some six hours) in my own home, and which also involved her walking them separately. I have every confidence in her ability to manage dogs, and she spoke lovingly about each of the dogs and their different characters on our return. I would have no hesitation in recommending her services and will certainly use her again when needed.

Michelle has been great with my two dogs. One being a lively puppy. Always helps at very short notice if I get stuck. Gives them lots of attention and care. We are very lucky to have her help us out. Thank you.

Very accommodating to my needs (please excuse the pun), flexible, and professional. The cattery is really clean, scrupulously maintained, and a quality build. Most impressive for me is that they look after my cat based on his needs, and he needs a lot of contact and affection. He is always calm and happy when I pick him up so I know he has been looked after. With heated units that face inwards, there is no other cattery where I would want my pet to be when he is not at home. Very reasonable price for the service too. highly recommended.

We have used Valley View on a regular basis for our cat Shadow. They are always so very friendly and accommodating and as the owner is an ex-veterinary nurse, we know he is very well looked after. Also very flexible and reasonably priced. Cannot recommend highly enough.

A lovely place to leave your cats safe in the knowledge that they will be looked after and fussed! I was shown where my cats would be staying and was assured that they would be treated like their own. Collection was easy and my cats were relaxed and happy.

This is business and as such £ seemed to be the main priority not the cats. Wouldn't allow me to pick cat up outside of opening hours even though the owner lived on site and it was only 6:30pm. Left me distraught worrying that something had happened. Would not recommend.

Very good cattery, very clean and tidy good price and the lady there was very friendly .will be using again for future holidays

Sarah offers a reliable service and is extremely flexible to every need. Due to work commitments I would change my days regularly and this was never a problem for Sarah. Plus our dog went through a difficult humping stage and Sarah was nothing but understandable and offered her help at all times. Our dog is now back to his normal self and this through the help of Sarah and her other colleague Leia. She regularly updates me through pictures and a quick message to keep any worries at bay. I met Sarah in the village and when she first did a home visit knew she was right for Trigger, very experienced with dogs and highly recommended.

Our little man "Eric" gets excited if we even mention Sarah's name! Sarah is reliable, trustworthy, professional and fun, we would recommend her pet care services to anyone.

Fabulous service from Sarah, always looks after my girls so well. Takes them on great walks, they go to different places on a regular basis and they get to interact with other dogs so great for socialisation. Sarah is always there when I need her, even when I need to add a date at the last minute or make a change. I would highly recommend Sarah for one off or regular walks.

Sarah offers a reliable, professional and trustworthy service. She has never let me down and has become more than just my dog walker. Sarah is one of the few people I trust completely with my boy, and Reggie absolutely adores her. In fact he can’t get in that van quick enough! Reggie has benefitted from joining the group walks, his socialisation and behaviour has improved, all thanks to Sarah.

We have used Sarah's Pet care service for the past year to look after and feed our cat when we have been away. She offers a very reliable and professional service which we happily recommend. She provides regular updates while we are away.

Sarah does a fabulous job pet sitting our dog and cats whilst we are on our holidays. Regular updates with cute piccies make it a stress free time, knowing they are being loved and cared for. Our dog Stanley stayed with John for 5 days, 4 nights recently. We cannot express our gratitude enough in what a positive effect he and his wife along with their dog Buster have had on our Stanley. He can be a nervous dog and John instantly put him and us at ease. We could enjoy our holiday knowing Stanley was in safe hands. On returning we came back to a very happy dog who had even improved in his nervousness/barking. I have no reservations recommending Barker & Waggs and we will continue to use them. We are also adding a weekly group walk for Stanley to continue his socialisation skills. Outstanding friendly service.

Fantastic service. John has got to know Humphrey our spaniel and wants to make sure he has a lovely walk with friends. Barker and Waggs are very reliable and caring. Humphrey is dried when he's home from a wet walk. I really recommend Barker and Waggs.

We were nervous to send our springer spaniel to doggy day care as she can be a timid dog and has never done anything like it before, but we needn’t haven’t worried… John took the time to meet us a few days beforehand which really put our minds at ease and it was clear to see that she had a brilliant time with her new pals! Barker & Waggs helped us out at short notice 18 months ago and there has been no looking back. The excitement at pick up, is the surest sign that our dog is as happy as can be. Happy Hounds Uppingham is such a great, safe, happy, caring place for your pup to attend. My Ronnie-Roo loves it and comes back so happy and tired after a fun day at Happy Hounds. You know exactly what they have been up to during the day along with photos via an App and can book online too. Nicola the owner is dedicated to the business and understands your love for your pup and leaves you totally reassured that your pup is well cared for. The added bonus of a pick up and drop off service is great to. I fully recommend Happy Hounds Uppingham.

Amber has been going on her group walks with Nicola, for a few weeks now, for companionship since losing our other dog very suddenly. Amber absolutely loves going out with all of her new friends! Nicola has made the whole process so seamless and easy for us since my initial enquiry and has been very accommodating with any requests, extra walks added in, as well as rearranged/cancelled walks due to vet appointments etc. We absolutely love getting the report on the app after each walk and seeing the photos of how much she enjoyed herself! I couldn’t recommend more! 🌟

We are so lucky to have Happy Hounds - the most perfect doggy day care! Nicola and her team have thought of every detail - from the jolly morning pick up to a full day of play and fun ( including photos and updates) to the warm and friendly drop off at the end of the day. The dogs are so happy and well cared for - it makes me want to be a Happy Hounds dog in my next life.

Rachel is a very kind lady who truly cares for your pets. My usually very nervous schnauzer LOVED her immediately. She is very professional and on time. Her service is affordable and she is very loving and responsible with your pets. I have three pets, and having her care for our dogs overnight, walk them and feed them was much more affordable, and more personal, than if we were to take them to dog boarding. My dogs really do prefer to stay at home, rather than be carted off to a strange house with other dogs. When we arrived back home, it was if we had never left. Our house was clean, our dogs(and cat) were happy, and we could rest assured that all was in order. I will definitely give Rachel a call before our next holiday.

Rachel is a great find! We have been using her for about a month as we start thinking about longer term return to work outside of the home. Our puppy is 7 months old and very nervous. Rachel currently walks her as a solo walk twice a week. Rachel has been kind and patient and clearly demonstrates both her knowledge of dog behaviour and her love for dogs. Dave (the puppy!) responds so well to her when she arrives which is amazing after just a few sessions. With a full service of day and holiday stays offered this is a great flexible offer that you can tailor make to you and your pet's needs A highly recommended service.

Rachel is an excellent fully qualified dog walker and sitter. She always arrives on time , never lets me down and the dogs love her. She is good value and always goes the extra mile to help us. She has helped with our cockapoo’s behaviour as she has been very nervous during lockdown. She has given lots of tips and coaching to us to help with our dogs. She has stayed at our house when we have been away and been extremely helpful and flexible. The dogs enjoy their walks with her and she is the best dog walker and sitter in this area.

Rachel was a lucky find as I was stated back to work and I couldn’t take my dogs out she got us out of a hole and I would recommend her to anyone else especially with the climate being the way it is now if you’re stuck at work and you need a helping hand she’s always there to help.

Anna is an absolute wonder of a dog walker and carer. We like to walk our dog ourselves but when work gets in the way Anna picks Pebble up and takes her out on one of her group walks. Pebble loves the walks and is always so excited to see Anna, she gets great socialisation and off-lead time. Anna has also had Pebble to stay over night, Pebble is a bit of a fussy girl but we had no worries at all leaving her with Anna. We knew she'd be cared for, loved and "part of the family" with Anna. Anna sends videos and photos whenever she is with Pebble so we know she's being well looked after and she's always quick to reply offering great service and peace of mind.

My pup absolutely loves going for walks with Anna! So trust worthy and always thinks of the dogs. Very kind and friendly. Here’s a photo of Rosie looking out the window as soon as she sees the van

Anna is great with my 4 dogs. Pops in 5 days a week to check all ok and let them out in the garden. In 16 years of having dogs I’ve never relied on anyone to help so this was a big thing for me. Anna is reliable, trustworthy and genuinely lovely . So glad I found her 😊 …

I used Anna's pet taxi service twice while staying in Oakham and couldn't rate her highly enough. She managed to fit in with the times I wanted to go out, kept me well informed of ETAs on both return journeys, was extremely friendly and chatty, and her love of animals shone through with her treatment of my little furry charge. Highly recommended!

Anna is simply amazing. Megan adores her. Anna is prompt, kind to Megan’s needs and always has an extra cuddle to give. We consider ourselves very lucky to have her in our lives.
