Lisl and Cate were fantastic from the moment we spoke. They came out to our house and met our special needs pup and our little Corgi, and we had the opportunity to talk through their care and show them around. The time they spent here consequently went smoothly and they adjusted well to taking care of our active paralyzed dog and her busy companion. They walked the beach, met the locals, and acclimated well to the whole experience of managing a special needs pup. Lisl communicated with us while we were away, sent pictures, asked a few questions, and overall allowed us to relax, knowing the dogs were in great hands. The house was left in perfect condition. I highly recommend these zeewoi and feel so grateful we had the opportunity to have them at our house to care for our beloved pups.
Amber-celeste is everything you could ever want in a pet/housesitter. She is honest, reliable and self-reliant. We were gone for 5 weeks and she took the time to give frequent and thoughtful updates. She made the most adorable little weekly photo montages that perfectly captured our cat's personality. Our cat was happy when we returned and our house was spotless. She took amazing care of our kitty and our home (she even left us a welcome home gift!). Amber-celeste is so easy to communicate with, responds quickly and has a great sense of humor. I wouldn't hesitate to have her back and she truly deserves more than 5 stars in every category!
We had a great time sitting for Byrd and looking after River. There was a little confusion around dates, but it was sorted quickly and a solution was found. River is one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met, she was so gentle and good on and off lead, we loved taking her to all of the natural beauty spots locally including the woods, the lake and the beach and playing with her. She was very well behaved with us and no trouble at all, truly a joy. Byrd was accommodating and her house was full with anything we could need, with a lovely garden to sit in the sunshine and in a really beautiful area that came to life with flowers in the spring. All of the info we needed was in a handy manual including local events to go to, of which we went to many. We chatted via WhatsApp regularly with pics of River and she was kind enough to drop us at the bus station. Would definitely recommend a sit for Byrd, it was a pleasure to meet both her and River, and Burlington is a super fun place to visit in May, with a local farmers market, lots of live music and lots of green spaces within easy distance. Would definitely recommend this sit to anyone :-)
Bob & DaAnne were lovely and gracious with me (particularly considering the abrupt cancellation that brought us together). The cuties could not have been sweeter: especially smart as well. It is always a great experience when everyone comes together with the intention to truly cooperate, and keeps the best interest of all involved at heart. I would certainly consider repeat opportunities with - & for - them.
Effie has been the best dog I have gotten to watch! She was a little timid at first, but warmed up quickly and we were soon best friends:) She slept in the bed with me at night, but we respected each others space. We also enjoyed daily walks around the neighborhood and a couple of longer hikes during my stay. I miss her already and I’m eager to watch this sweet girl again soon! <3 Rob was also great with communication both leading up to the sit and during my stay. Their house was cozy and conveniently located. I wish I could give this sit even more thumbs up!
So lucky to be able to care for such a well behaved Weimaraner, great house and use of the car in France for an entire month and a very welcoming host family. I arrived a day early so Helen could show me around and get familiar with the dog and the area which was very helpful. Helen was very organized and attentive and knew exactly what to show me to make my stay comfortable ~ I already miss the dog and our long walks in the forest. I’d love to come back- thanks again for trusting me especially when i only have a basic knowledge of French. Merci ;)
I had such a lovely weekend staying at Clare's. Reggie, Wolfie and Spot were all so lovey and cuddly and just a joy to spent time with. The house itself was beautiful and the surrounding area was lovely for dog walks. It was all very comfy and I had everything I needed for a lovely, relaxing stay. Clare's communication was great, we had an initial call and all the instuctions left were very clear. I would absolutely love to sit here again adn spend more time with Wolfie, Reggie and Spot.
I had a WONDERFUL time in Montie’s beautiful home with Diego and Daisy. Diego and Daisy are the greatest pups who love to shower you with love. They love the outdoors and are so easy to care for. It truly was an honor to have their company. Montie and her husband very easy to communicate with and I would come back in an instant. I HIGHLY recommend this sit.
