James and Louise
We had a good time with Shadow and Boris at James and Louise traditional Country Home.

James had moved property since the last sitter’s feedback. Communication was good with Louise before and during the sit. James and Louise were relaxed, friendly and generous. We were provided with helpful pet and home instructions on arrival.

Shadow the Flatcoat is a sweet, exuberant, affectionate gal. Shadow took a few days to settle quietly with us in the evenings and to respond to verbal commands. Shadow responds to the whistle the best when off leash. Shadow loves to pick berries and apples! We kept a cautious eye on Shadows’ whereabouts around the property at all times, as she showed us she can jump for England, over the boundary wall into the road. Lots of public path walks out of the front door for Shadow. We particularly liked the walk to the Wild Carrott Cafe. Shadow settled well whilst we were at the Cafe. Shadow is not especially fussed about other dogs.

Boris is a sweet old boy, not so good hearing and seeing. We enjoyed encouraging him to come out into the garden several times a day for exercise/stimulation. He sometimes needs a little lift onto the lawn. However, he can move fast if food is involved! They both settled peacefully at night in the kitchen and they love company. Their routines were easy to follow (not too early!). We also fed the fish.

James’ home is very traditional, spacious and provides for a comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful tended gardens and the all mod con, spacious Country kitchen. Sitters have use of guest double bedroom with sofa, and shared family bathroom. Clean linen and towels provided. Very comfortable bed and a quiet nights sleep :)

Tetbury is a lovely rural area offering lots of things to do and see. Plenty of Country Pubs, High Street Shops, Restaurants and Supermarket Tesco, 5 minutes drive. Westonbirt Arboretum is a must do! We are local to Gloucestershire, so we spent most our time with the pups.

We would be happy to return!
