Having Erica house sit was great. Usually the cats complain a lot when we get back from a trip. This time they made new friends, our house was safe and sound, our container garden, and plants were well cared for, and our home was shared with folks who appreciated the time and space. Erica's communication was just right, she asked clarifying questions and updated me on a few things. The pictures of happy cats were great. Our home was left neat and tidy. I woud gladly have a repeat sit. Thank you!
Lovely stay! Kuri is the most divine dog. Super affectionate, well trained and easy to live with. Cats are also easy to care for and friendly. Lovely area, will need to drive though. But Diana and Dave lent us the car which was super handy! Diana and Dave were wonderful, cooked for us on the first evening, and helpful if we needed anything. Highly recommended if you are looking for some relaxing time in a beautiful part of England. Will miss Kuri a lot.
Ian & I had the most wonderful Housesit at the farm. Leigh and John were so welcoming and generous. They showed us very clearly all that we needed to know about how things worked, plus the doggies routines and introduced us to the lovely Bill ,who is on site, should one need help. The house is very spacious,warm, and comfortable, with all you might need and is surrounded by the farm's own fields. This means that you can walk the dogs safely, straight from the house. The dogs are a joy to be with, they love going for walks and are very well trained, loving, fun and affectionate, as well as being beautiful. We saw hares, roe deer, muntjacs, and rabbits, as well as wonderful Red kites, other raptors and small birds. It's situated in a lovely part of the country, with charming villages like Goring -on-Thames, good pubs and walks very close by. John and Leigh gave us several delicious meals, the night we arrived, the evening after and even on the day they arrived back. We would highly reccomend this Housesit , especially to country lovers.
Just returned from our fantastic first residential pet/ house sit with trusted housesitters site( although we have done many house swaps in the past) Catherine and family were wonderful pet parents with great communication prior to the sit, detailed notes being left for us at the house, a selection of goodies left for us on our arrival including a lovely bottle of vino which went down very nicely ! The little touches like fresh flowers in every room and Catherine leaving me a hairdryer was very much appreciated. The stars of the weekend were undoubtably adorable Bizzie and Lizzie 🐈🐈⬛We nicknamed Lizzie Miss Snoozer as she seemed to take on a nocturnal habit during our stay hence the long sleep during the day. Lizzie was most affectionate and loved her fuss! B was so wary of us initially but then gained her confidence and made up with lots of cuddles and fuss! ( She was the spitting image of our beloved JD cat who passed away last year so we had a soft spot for her! Despite the awful summer weather 🌧️we went on lovely walks, albeit wet,along the Ridgeway and sampled several local pubs where we had to dry off! A trip to Henley to meet up with family was within close proximity plus a fascinating visit to Nuffield Place home of William Morris 🚙. Overall a fantastic sit and we would love to return to care for B and L if an opportunity arose again. We can thoroughly recommend this sit. Thank you.
Jill and Clive are lovely people living in a lovely cottage in a lovely quiet village with the best dog we have had the pleasure to look after. Great communication from the start. Jill and Clive made us feel very welcome with a visit to the local pub for dinner. Thank you again for the meal and super evening. Rufus is an awesome dog to look after. He is well behaved and loveable. It was a week of belly rubs and great walks. We miss him already. We highly recommend this sit if we can't do it 😃.
This was a wonderful sit and owners, home and pets were a delight. Mattie the labradoodle has a lovely personality and we had a great time together. After the first day or two to get comfortable with us she was then our best friend and wanted to be with us whenever she could. During the day she was happy outside playing with her toys or sitting inside watching what we were doing. She loved her daily walks and saying hello to other people and dogs and was well behaved. In the evenings her favourite place was on her mat beside us whilst we watched TV. The budgies and fish were low maintenance and happily chatted away all day (birds) or entertained us with their antics (fish). Communication with Nic and Rog was great and we met them a few days prior to the sit so were confident that we understood what was required during our stay. We didn’t need to remember things anyway as a very clear and easy to follow set of notes were left for us to refer to if needed. The area was good for access to shops and to the main routes for accessing the Brisbane CBD or the Gold Coast and there were plenty of options for walking Mattie from home. The house was spotless and very comfortable and all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We would highly recommend a sit for anyone considering this in future.
Dixie and Teddy were great. Both are lovable and easy to care for. Fred is kind and chill. The area is beautiful and the house has wonderful views over the valley which I enjoyed from the hot tub. Guest bedroom and bathroom were spotless and the house’s overall condition was more than fine, but it is a single older man’s slightly cluttered older house so I imagine some women may not be 💯comfortable.
