We had the pleasure of sitting for Katie and Simos and had an amazing time taking care of Tiko, Rosie and Oreo. Katie and Simos we great hosts, very kind and welcomed us into their home and trusted us with their pets. We had a chance to meet before the sit and it was great chatting with them and they introduced us to Zorbas, an awesome cypriot bakery. We got to meet the pets and instantly knew it would be a good fit. Tiko is such a sweet little puppy, 4 months old at the time of the sit and he was already potty trained and was always eager to play. Full of bursts of energy followed by loving cuddles as he napped (and grew!) During the 10 days of the sit he really stole our hearts. Rosie is a funny little character, shy at first but eventually became very affectionate and eager to play. She loves soft blankets and being chased around by Tiko. Oreo is quite an independent cat and spends most of his time prowling around outside but also loves cuddles and is a big soft hearted mushy cat. He’s also the boss of the house, keeping Tiko in line when he gets too cheeky. Thank you Katie and Simos for all the local recommendations, we had a great time over the holidays exploring Nicosia and spending time with your wonderful pets. We would happily come back for another sit in the future.
I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Laura & Marc’s lovely, comfortable home in Milton, looking after their big sweet lovable standard poodle Zizu. Really appreciated the detailed notes on Zizu’s training and behavior so I could keep reinforcing his good habits when he got excited around other dogs. Especially loved walking Zizu along the gorgeous river walk near their house. Great comms with friendly owners.
We had a lovely 10 days sitting in Kent for Teddy. We stayed the night before and had a lovely evening meal, drinks and fun conversation with Katherine and Paul. They are a lovely couple and their communication before and during the sit was fantastic. Their house is really comfy and their garden is beautiful, with sun and strategic seating areas for the whole day, including a fully wired summer house if the weather is not so pleasant. Teddy is such a stunning dog, he gets attention wherever he goes he's so beautiful. He is very affectionate, friendly, playful and intelligent. We really enjoyed taking him for walks; he loves being outside and walks really well (great training to sit when other dogs are passing, but he's also really friendly with other dogs). It seems he can go forever, but he does get hot and needs a good supply of water. He also loves going in the water be it sea or pond, so we did 3 trips to the coast and a couple of lovely walks though woods to Capstone park and pond. He loves a good cuddle in bed before he pops to his own mat or the floor. We didn't hear from him until we were awake in the morning (except on the night foxes were being noisy ; ). He gets super excited when he knows he's about to go out and lets you know he's ready to go! We had such a lovely time sitting for Teddy and would happily sit him again. We definitely recommend a sit for Katherine and Paul and beautiful Teddy.
Martyn and Lynn are charming and made us feel very welcome when we arrived the evening before they left for their holiday. The information in the Welcome Guide was comprehensive and useful including their recommendations for places to eat and visit. They have a lovely, cosy home that is easy to look after. We chose to sleep in the downstairs bedroom and slept well on the comfortable bed. Dora and Seren are wonderful cats and although Dora treated us with some suspicion on the first night soon mellowed and was a real softie. Seren was very friendly and spent time with us in the garden, during the evening and through the night! The chickens, “The Ladies”, are easy to look after and very amusing to watch. Anglesey is a lovely place and we would be happy to return and sit for Martyn and Lynn in the future - highly recommended.
Shaun and Andrea's cats were absolutely lovely to look after for the week. Each of them have very distinct personalities and little things to be aware of but, above all, they're all very gentle, friendly and endlessly entertaining, which means every moment we spent with them was a delight. Everything was clear from the detailed welcome guide and, as we don't live too far away, we also paid them a short visit a few weeks in advance of the sit just to see each other in person, and they ran through the basic daily routine while we were there too. The house was a pleasure to stay in, with a nice area for walking nearby where we saw plenty of rabbits and birds. All in all it was a great experience and we'd be happy to sit for them again if our schedules were to line up in the future.
We loved this sit! Hailey is such good company and us three made a great team! She loooves adventures and hanging in the backyard and being included. She gives lots of kisses as thank yous. Bill’s home is lovely! You can tell he loves his home and all the touches shows his true craftsmanship. I really enjoyed the back deck and my morning hot tub soaks as the sun came up each day. I recommend this sit to anyone. We would absolutely do this sit again. We miss Hailey already!
