Diane is fantastic! First, she is super nice, warm, inviting, and kind. Secondly, she took great care of my two dogs and my home. She stayed in communication with us on a regular basis, eliminating the stress of leaving the dogs and house behind. My dogs even seemed to be looking for her even when we got home. Above all, Diane is trustworthy, and our dogs love her. I hope that she’s able to watch my little guys (and home) again soon! I highly recommend Diane – she has been an absolute blessing!

We would be happy to provide personal references upon request.

Kenzie
The building was safe (neighborhood is dead center of downtown Portland - prepare for the homeless scene & do not leave things in your car), the puppy, Juniper, was low maintenance — she loves to cuddle & go for walks, lastly Kenzie was a very thoughtful host, easy to get along with and left the apartment in a fine condition for my stay (plus, cool rooftop hangs for the summer sitters & gym included in the apartment amenities)!

Tina and Jamie were so kind to offer up their little Casita a couple of days before my sit started and fed me yummy breakfasts and dinners. That was very kind and helpful to me and my travel logistics. It also gave us plenty of time to get the rundown of the house and the pet routines, and it gave Juanita and Lupita a chance to get to know me before their parents left. That helped the dogs adjust quickly once Jamie and Tina had left. They seemed happy, ate well, and took their pills (seizure meds for Juanita and joint health supplements for Lupita). Tina and Jamie left the house clean and tidy, so I also settled in nicely.

Both dogs are such good girls! They occasionally bark when people walk by too closely, or the neighbor’s cat taunts them. Good job protecting the house! If you talk to them, they will calm down pretty quickly, though. I was impressed by how well the dogs are listening, especially Lupita. She is such a smart girl, and she wants to please you. And Juanita is darling. She is tiny and timid, so it took a little bit for her to trust me. But once we got over that, she followed me around and even joined a little at Lupita playtime.

The house is centrally located. The neighborhood is safe, and the neighbors are friendly. There are many options to walk around and check out downtown on foot. And if you like to swim, check out the UA pool, which is open to the public and quite fabulous. I checked out the Loop Trail, with miles and miles of bike lanes around the town.

I will miss the girls and the stunning Tucson sunsets. Thanks, Jamie and Tina!

Stephen
Stephen was a reasonable host but as he's new to this he needs a little more preparation. Arrange for sitter to arrive night beforehand with a bit more notice for the sitter to allow arrangements to be made. Fill in the form with local places of interest etc to help the sitter. Make space in the fridge for the sitters food it was full of party drinks. Make contact with the sitter during your holiday to see everything is going well. Leave tools available in case sitter is in need would be brilliant. If you wish a sitter to arrive the night before it's nice to offer something to eat. Put batteries in the remote control handset for the tv.
All these things make the housesitter feel more welcome. I am a very experienced sitter and these are the things which are normal.
Leave good feedback unless the sitter has really let you down.

Carol
Me and Tom had a wonderful time sitting Buzz and Marty! The dogs were beautifully behaved and we had such a lovely relaxing time staying in Carol and David's home. Contact with Carol was perfect from start to finish. Thank you so much and we hope to sit for you again in future!

Gian Marco
Gian Marco and Cristian were wonderful hosts, and communication with them was easy. They have a very helpful guide, but everything feels very intuitive about the apartment and caring for Rocky. Rocky was a delight to look after, and after a week together I’m going to miss him a lot.

Kate
We loved our sit with Benji in Charleston for Kate and Warren. Benji is a real sweetheart, so well behaved and a lovable companion. He’s a funny boy, very easy and brought us much happiness. We had a lot of fun playing ball, throwing the frisbee and just running the yard with him.

The house is beautiful, fantastic kitchen, quiet and comfortable, on several acres, very relaxing. Kate was organized and the whole family was welcoming. It was such a pleasure to step in and care for the house and Benji while they traveled. Warren has an extensive collection of newly released movies and big screen tv that kept us happily entertained in the evenings. We highly recommend this sit. Would love to come back!
