I had a great time at Kathryn's place, taking care of her two cats. The flat is cozy, perfect located (tram stops, park, de pijp, cafés, supermarkets...in walking distance) and has everything you need. But the highlights are definitely Ziggy and Mav, who really love your company. Ziggy is always up for a cuddle, with Mav you can have great conversations as he likes to talk and best of all: They'll join you for a snuggle at night. I just arrived back home and already miss these two cuties. I would house sit for Kathryn again in an instant and I highly recommend her!!!
I met up with Jan and family, plus Cherry and Poppy, prior to the sit and they all made me feel welcome in their home. Stuart left me all the information and contacts I needed and the family contacted me, whilst away, to make sure the cats were ok with me and that I was ok. The age of the cats did not seem to hinder them at all, as both jogged along up and down stairs without any issue. The info on both did say they didn’t get on with each other and apart from a few hissy fits (when food was around) there were no problems at all. They both took to me and I was fortunate to receive unending cuddles from Cherry and finally (after a week) the same from Poppy. Both cats are well behaved, loving and make you smile. I was actually quite sad at the thought of finishing the sit. Jan and Stuart were very helpful and easily contactable (time zone permitting) at all times. I did have to contact them when Cherry seemed to be unwell (I was concerned about worrying them when they couldn’t be home if needed). They accepted my concerns and agreed to my plans to have her assessed by the vet. All ended well and Cherry was snuggled on my bed when the sit ended. I couldn’t recommend this family enough, as pet owners if they are seeking a sitter, or the gorgeous Poppy and Cherry.
Suzanne met me from the train in Belfast and I was instantly at ease . I spent a lovely evening with Suzanne and Wes finding out how everything was done. I also enjoyed a lovely meal and a glass (or 2) of wine. It was a great sit in a beautiful location. Moo is a real character. I had chosen to leave my car at home in Wales. Getting into the city was difficult but I soon found how to get back. Suzanne left an exceptionally well stocked fridge for me. They were wonderfully kind and caring hosts and I can't recommend this sit enough.

This is a fabulous housesit which we recommend unreservedly. It was the first time that Chris and Brian had welcomed housesitters but they had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. They welcomed us with a lovely lunch in the garden and gave us loads of suggestions for meals and days out. Brian was a font of knowledge re walking routes and he also took the time to load lots of information onto a memory stick. They walked us around their beautiful town of Foix, pointing out restaurants etc. We had a lovely large bedroom with an en-suite shower room. There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space plus coat hangers, spare towels and bedding. Chris and Brian are a lovely, friendly and approachable couple who made us feel really welcome. They are very quick to respond to any queries. Ok, so Chris and Brian are great, the house and gardens and Foix are great but the real stars of the show are Nikka and Bedbug. Nikka soon settles down and becomes your shadow. She is a lovely, obedient dog who is a pleasure to take for walks and then she loves to sit at your feet or with her head on your lap. A perfect companion. Bedbug is such a sweet cat. She likes to spend time outdoors but we were lucky that the weather cooled a little so she spent more time with us inside. If you want her to she will keep your feet and legs warm during the night.... We had a fabulous time in Foix and want to thank Chris and Brian for giving us the opportunity. All the best to you both, and of course, to Nikka and Bedbug.
