What an absolutely super location and home, Alex has converted one of her barns into a warm and comfortable home. She also has a lot of horses in the surrounding fields along with sheep and the two pigs, a local girl (18 at time of writing) looks after all of them daily. The two little dogs were very happy to be taken for a walk around the sheep field, Margot being a big brave Dachshund just had to bark at them, from a distance! Cirencester is not 15 minutes drive away along a country lane, Swindon and its retail parks a little further in the other direction. If you want peace and quiet in proper countryside then come and sit here, you won't be disappointed.
Nadine and Afarin were great to sit for. Communication was excellent and very thorough instructions were given. Their apartment is large and very comfortable, and the location was great for exploring that part of France plus Geneva. Filou and Sasha were fun cats that warmed up to me quickly. It was lovely spending time with them. I highly recommend Nadine, Afarin, Filou and Sasha.
Staying at Xavier's was an amazing experience. The farm is beautifully located only one and a half hours from Barcelona in a very tranquil and wild valley. The silence is amazing and many animals wander around. The place is bright and comfortable and he described very accurately all my tasks, which were really easy (feeding the chickens, the horses, and keeping an eye around). I enjoyed very much my 3 days at his place and truly envy him for living so close to nature. I highly recommend him and his place as a great place to stop by and have a good, quiet rest.
Chica was a very sweet dog and easy to take care of.
Meadow and Truffle are the most wonderful mother and daughter labrador retrievers. They really made me miss my labradors from growing up and it is just a fantastic breed. You will fall in love with these happy girls. They are appreciative of any attention and affection and love getting behind their ears rubbed . Christine was very responsive with any questions that I had and clear with communication . The house was organized and clean, and a great set up for me to stay for a few days. I ate out at a couple of good restaurants and spent time on 🧡❤️ Virginia tech’s campus. I hope I have the opportunity to take care of Meadow and Truffle again soon!
Kelly was so nice and welcoming. Thank you!
