We spoke with Ollie and Annabelle beforehand and met Annabelle and their lovely boys briefly before she left. Everything was clearly explained, instructions left and we were made to feel very relaxed about the sit. The house is large and homely with amazing views over the Cheviots which was great for a glass of wine in the evening. There is lots of places to visit and so this was fantastic for us. We fell in love with Mocha and Wilbur who travelled with us wherever we went and were no trouble at all. We particularly loved seeing them running on the beaches where their recall was really good. Thank you both for a most enjoyable sit.
Janos was very kind with us, he picked us up from the station and drive us there back the last day. His home is really confortable, specially his kitchen and garden. Cupido (the snake) and Guecko did not need anything except water; Drucilla and the cats are also very easy to look after and really cute. Barby needs a little bit more attention, but she’s not big deal. You just need to find out how to make her happy (or not angry) about the food and she would sleep or walk in the garden the rest of the day. We had a really good time in Budapest (which is really beautiful) and resting some hours in the house. Thank you Janos! :)
This was a wonderful sit! When thinking about what to write, the word “great” kept coming up again and again. Sue and Gordon left us very thorough instructions for caring for the house and the dog in addition to tons of resources about things to do in the area. We could text with any questions and enjoyed being on a group text with Sue, Gordon and two of their friends. We were all able to share pictures of our adventures and we feel like we got to know them a bit even though we’ve never met in person. The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable and we felt very at home. Sue and Gordon were generous enough to let us use their hot tub and Chevy Bolt - two things we now want to purchase for ourselves! The neighborhood is great and all of the neighbors were friendly and welcoming. We even had dinner with two of them! The beach and state park are within walking distance and we loved that. Most importantly is Levi. It took all of about two seconds for us to fall in love with him. He’s sweet, snuggly and adorable. He LOVES to run on the beach and meet people and dogs. He’s great on the leash and in the car and he was the perfect companion for exploring the area. He tolerated his sunglasses fine and got lots of attention and special treatment from people when he wore them. He communicated his needs (especially his dinner time needs 😉) well and we just had a fantastic time with him. We hope to be back to visit him and our other new friends.
Sana and Asif were wonderful hosts with a lovely home in a great location. The old town of Hemel is full of character and there are plenty of beautiful walks nearby. Both were very welcoming and communication between us was easy and prompt. Cece was such a character, I loved getting to know her. Peanut was also no problem! I’d recommend this sit and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Erin and her family have a lovely home in Amsterdam, in a great little neighbourhood with lots of cafes and restaurants. Quiet, safe, clean. Leo and Flo are the also the kindest and cutest little cats, who will greet you at the door, lay by your side, or just lounge around the house.
Lovely and comfortable home and sweet dogs. Katherine was very communicative. This was a perfect place to spend a few days with some chill dogs. Highly recommend!
