Oh where to begin with our feedback on this fabulous pet-sit assignment. Boris & Plume were so much fun to spend time with, we did not venture far, preferring to spend time with them & enjoying their beautiful home. Boris is the older of the 2 kitties & a real gentleman - he instantly bonded with John, never leaving his side for long & with one of the loudest purrs we have ever heard. He loves to be brushed & also join you for supper (fresh roast chicken a firm favourite!!)Little Plume is still a kitten, & loves to play - she has a very gentle nature & so long as she has her purple blanket she will settle down in the evenings to sleep through till dawn. Boris is an early riser......& once he has had his medication & breakfast will go out on a short patrol before returning to join you in bed for more cuddles. Plume can be out all day, bringing home the occasional 'gift', but always returns for supper & playtime. The 2 kitties get along well, in fact Plume adores Boris, so they were a delight to look after. The property has to have one of the best views in the world........there is a wrap around shaded terrace to enjoy the view across Lake Geneva(Leman) towards Mont Blanc all day long - so beautiful in the evening & on a clear night. The icing on the cake though is the huge window in the downstairs bedroom allowing you a view from the bed.......we have lived & travelled all around the world, but have never experienced a view like this from the bedroom. Well equipped & comfortably furnished, with a restaurant within walking distance, superb patisserie/boulangerie in the village of Gex & lots of places to visit around the area. Many great walks - Sarah & Ward have a very comprehensive collection of maps & randonee guides for you to borrow. If you enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine, make sure to ask them to direct you to Goodies - a Lebanese take-away on the border with Switzerland - we visited several times!! Great choice of Bio supermarkets in area also. We loved our 2 wks here, & would jump at the chance to return to spend more time with Boris & Plume.
