Bern was an absolute delight to take care of!! You’ll adore her quirky personality with her need to be cute 24/7. Soph and Ben made our stay at theirs so comfortable and provided us with everything we needed throughout our sit. Would in a heart beat sit for them again anytime!!
Gillian was very kind to pick me up at the train station and make a meal for us to share before they left. Her thoughtfulness and hospitality went above my expectations with a lovely welcome gift. Instructions were very clear, and we communicated easily throughout my stay by text. Tiggy was so funny, and I enjoyed her company. She liked being near me, and would even come up onto my lap as long as I didn't touch her while she was there. She is also very independent and spent lots of time outside on her own. The conservatory was my favorite place in the house, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time there. Things to note: grocery is about 26 minutes walk away, with town a little further. Buses are infrequent. Be prepared to walk to get where you want to go if you are depending on public transport during your stay.
I had a wonderful sit in Palo Alto with Schrodinger and Emma. Both Schro cat and Miss Emma the bunny are such sweet and entertaining animals! Schro is gentle, affectionate and easy going--loves pets under his chin and to be let outside in order to sniff the rodents under the back deck. Emma is a hoot. That girl has personality for days. She loves her Timothy hay treats, running around in circles and climbing on you, licking you if you get close enough to the floor. Stacey and David were communicative, kind and easy going. Their house and yard are pretty, comfy and very close to Stanford University and coffee shops and other businesses. I had a great time. Thanks again! Will miss Emma and Schrodinger.
Everything went as planned. Mike-the owner-clearly informed me, he is also flexible. Tito is a very energetic and athletic doggy in outside walks, you can easily run with him as well. Just take care for meeting with other dogs, he likes to be dominant. He is well-behaved in the flat. The area is very vibrant with cool people, the best opportunity to enjoy the city vibe. The flat is nice and practical!
We absolutely loved our sit in Capitola with Mel. Such a sweet boy and quite the talker. We loved sitting in the front garden with our morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening! Mel would join us & bask in the sunny areas for one of his frequent cat naps. Capitola is a cute little beach town and Colleen’s beach house is a short walk to the beach, many restaurants and cute shops. We enjoyed visiting with Colleen before and after her trip and she was so kind to make us a delicious meal before she left. She also gave us a ride to Santa Cruz to pick up our rental car, as we were driving to Santa Barbara for our next sit. We highly recommend this sit! Colleen is a kind and gracious host and Mel is a very sweet older gentleman! ❤️ We would love to return in the future! Thank you Colleen!
Amanda was extremely responsive and kind, even with a full house and Holiday time she was very timely in all texts. Duke is a friendly and real lover once he warms up to you. Don’t expect him to be OK the moment you walk thru HIS DOOR. He was very upset and protective of his turf on our arrival. Duke barked for a good 5 minutes with his back standing up. The hot dogs were a quite an olive branch. Amanda had suggested this prior to my arrival and it worked like a charm! This was my 2nd house sit in the Boston area during December. The weather was mild during this time. The neighborhood very charming and most homes were quite updated from 1920’s homes. Amanda’s home was pleasant and cozy. The kitchen was amazing and the Nespresso machine a nice amenity. The master bedroom was wonderful with a super comfy med/firm king bed and amazing soaking tub. Duke and I spent several hours watching Christmas movies and going in and out to the back yard. He really loved his teething rings on his couch also. He seemed to like my husband a lot and appreciated the firm direction when we walked him at the Needham golf course. In all, he was a bit pensive at all times, wondering where his family was but always a gentleman and a real cuddly guy once he let down his guard. I highly recommend this sit!
