We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Melissa - Ruby took to her immediately and became her shadow for the rest of the weekend, I think she's still missing her! Melissa was so easy to have in the house, it felt like an old friend coming to stay, we felt very comfortable leaving her in charge when we went away. Ruby was beautifully looked after, we couldn't ask for more and hope that Melissa will come back another time!

It was a pleasure taking care of Kitana and Bulma. They are the sweetest dogs and listened very well. The house was in perfect state and the area was very enjoyable. I did not meet Luciene unfortunately, but she was very nice and the communication ran very smoothly!

Charlie is a real gentleman dog so much so that he would get up whenever we entered the room and always join in whatever we were doing. Charlie is well trained, charming and a fantastic dancer (don't ask!) and we could not have asked for a better companion. Alan and Sheena welcomed us warmly into their home which was warm and comfortable with fantastic views. Walks are available from the door and the chickens easy to look after. Please note that you have to be steady on your feet as there are many steep steps surrounding the house. We have no hesitation recommending this sit to others and hope to be back ourselves.

Denise and Chris are wonderful hosts. We spent a lovely afternoon with them, getting to know their three cute cats and enjoyed a delicious dinner, that Denise had prepared for us.

The house is on a cul-de-sac in a very quiet and safe area of Le Fleix, right at the river Dordogne - it's very relaxing! Since there are no streetlights and the air is not polluted, star gazing in the night (although cold at this time of the year) is spectacular. I loved hearing the owls at night! The home has everything one needs to feel comfy and is easy to maintain. Due to the season there wasn't much to do in the garden.

Denise had prepared a very detailed welcome guide with all necessary informations about house and pets as well as lots of suggestions on what to do in and around Le Fleix.

The three cats are probably the most well behaved kitties I have met ever. Toby is a a beautiful real ginger, very independent. You don't see much of Izzy, his equally independent sister, because she seems to be an absolute champion in finding hiding places. Maisie is the most affectionate little creature, once you conquer her heart - which didn't take long.

Boris and I can warmly recommend this sit, and if time permits, we would love to return. 5 thumbs and a big thank you to Denise and Chris!

We had a great time on this sit. The two cats are easy going, great personalities and just a joy to be around. The house is amazing with stunning views. Patricia had a well laid out guide with everything you need to know from taking care of the cats to things to do in the area.

What a lovely week we had at Grove House looking after Tattie, Brian, Noodles and the chickens. Tattie and Brian are very affectionate and so well behaved. Their recall is brilliant so we could take them for endless walks through the forest, knowing they would always come back every time we blew the whistle, even when the deer were running across our path. There are so many great walks starting right outside the gate. Looking after the chickens was great fun and eating fresh eggs every day was a delight. Julia and Steve made us most welcome the night before the sit, cooking us dinner after our long drive and provided us with comprehensive information for looking after the house and the animals. Their spacious and comfortable house is perfectly located right in the forest and is so peaceful and relaxing. They had endless seating areas in the garden to enjoy the day and evening sun. We woke up to lovely views and the sound of bird song every day. The local pub serves good portions of food and is only a short walk away. It was a real treat to stay at Grove House and getting to meet and chat with Julia’s mum was a real bonus. Anyone would be lucky to get this house sit.
