Our first time using zeewoi and Jessica set expectations for future very HIGH! She communicated so well everyday, asked great questions, took initiative to do things like wash sheets etc that we would not ask nor expect someone to do. She treated our home and pets exceptionally well. Not enough space to detail all the wonderful things about Jessica. We would always want her to take care of our cat and dog!
Absolutely thrilled to share our incredible experience petsitting for Wowie and Paul at Wolfhanger Farm! It has genuinely been the happiest week of our year. From the moment we arrived, Wowie and Paul welcomed us with such warmth and hospitality. They gave us a tour, explaining everything in detail and always being available for any questions we had. The three Labradors were absolutely adorable – so loving and gentle. The area around the farm is full of hidden gems like Milton Abbas and Sherborne. We loved exploring, but it was equally delightful to just sit outside at the farm, playing with the dogs and taking care of the sheep. Collecting fresh eggs every day from the chickens was a wonderful treat. Staying at Wolfhanger Farm was like living in a dream house sit. Thank you so much, Wowie and Paul, for this unforgettable experience! We'd love to come again!
Mary was extremely easy to communicate with. We met ahead of time and while I had sat for animals with medical needs, I had never sat for a cat with diabetes before and really appreciated her thoroughness in showing me everything. She was easy to get in touch with when questions arose during my stay as well and pleasant to chat with. She left very thoughtful notes throughout the house that made it a pleasure to stay with explanations for the lights, coffee machine, and faucets. The flat is large and has excellent views of the Wappoo and it was very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent and convenient. Diesel is wonderful. He is very affectionate and sweet. He really enjoys attention and is very vocal. He has adapted to his food schedule really well and I would be happy to keep him company again. Mary, let me know if you need a sitter again. I love coming back to my hometown of Charleston and Diesel is a great companion.
We had such a lovely time in Andrew and Fiona’s beautiful home, taking care of Bluey and Cookie. Fiona did everything to make us feel at home and was always available to answer any queries. Bluey and Cookie were a delight. Both very different characters who just loved their mealtimes! Bluey had loads of energy but also just loved to cuddle up with us on the sofa. Cookie tended to keep her distance but when the time was right, she too never missed the opportunity for a bit of love. We spent every opportunity when the weather improved, playing with the dogs in the lovely, enclosed garden. It was a delight to see both dogs charging around when taken to a field close by. They were both obedient and their recall was excellent. We truly had a wonderful time and can really recommend an opportunity to sit for Andrew and Fiona. Our thanks to them both.
We have thoroughly enjoyed staying in Coolum Beach. Lola and Chino are so lovely. Lola is playful and such a sweetie. Chino loves his cuddles and attention. They both enjoy their daily walks. We have fallen in love with them both. Coolum Beach is a fabulous location and is close to many places on the Sunshine Coast. We would be very happy to housesit again and we highly recommend housesitting for this lovely couple and their happy dogs.
This was hands down one of our favorite sits. Our experience with Brennan and Ben was top notch, they are great people who we could have spent hours talking to. We were able to meet them for the hand off of the keys and the run down of the house and care for Dottie. Dottie is an incredibly sweet and laid back dog. She thrives off human connection and long walks through the neighborhood. She literally jumps for joy when you tell her you’re taking her for a walk. She enjoys being close to you while lounging on the couch but also welcomes keeping you company while sitting in the backyard. She’s low maintenance but full of love 💕 I love the way she smiles back at you. It was heartbreaking to leave her as I closed the door on our last day. Their home is also incredibly home-y and fully stocked with any kitchen supplies we needed for a home cooked meal. The location is fantastic for those who like to venture by foot, we were able to walk to downtown Charleston and the Battery with no problem, but truly their neighborhood is a hidden gem with amazing food all around you. We felt like we had found a second home in Charleston and with Dottie, it was one of our best and favorite sits. We’d welcome a future sit with Brennan, Ben and Dottie ✨
This was a very enjoyable sit. Lacey lives in a lovely part of the country, rural, but within easy reach of two towns. The animals are all easy to look after. Arnie, the dog, is gorgeous. He likes lots of fuss, a short walk once a day, and is very well behaved. Own transport is essential.

I’m so glad we found WDWW! Our boy absolutely loves Allana and is so settled when she does overnight sits with him. I really hope we never have to find anyone else! Allana is clearly naturally gifted with caring for animals, and puts you completely at ease when caring for your pet. Lovely regular updates, and always a happy waggy tail when we come home! If you’re looking for care for your pets within Allana’s area, I 110% recommend choosing WDWW! I no longer worry when I’m away, and I’ve never felt so confident in overnight care for my dog.
Allana is the best cat sitter we have ever had so attentive and caring went above and beyond looking after our cats needs ....even our timid kitty was comfortable with her very reasonable rates would 100% recommend.
Our dog Billy absolutely loves going to Bev’s for day care, as he gets to spend the day doing his two favourite things - walking and snoozing! We re-homed him last year, and think he had spent a lot of his life being left alone at home for most of the day. Since going to Bev’s, Billy has become much more confident and playful, and his days at day care have helped him to socialise and make lots of doggy friends! Bev is so kind to all the dogs, and her background as a veterinary nurse gives us complete peace of mind. The dogs go out on exciting and varied walks, and can then relax in her comfortable home. We couldn’t ask for anyone better to care for Billy, and would recommend Bev’s services to everyone!
We are so grateful to Beverley and Flora for making Stan’s first stay with them a comfortable and well cared for one. The daily updates, photos and videos were a great comfort while we were away. My spaniel has a wonderful time with Bev, Flora and the daycare dogs. Bev is very caring and clearly puts time & effort into making sure the dogs are well integrated and happy. She takes them on lovely walks, which my active dog loves. Bev also provides videos and photos to show the happy time they are having in the beautiful countryside of South Somerset. I am very pleased with this special and unique service that ensures my dog is exercised, engaged and has an enriched experience. The dogs are well looked after and safe. He comes home after a good day with his friends, tail wagging and happy!!
Bev has visited our cat for the last 10 months on a regular basis and is absolutely excellent. She cares for our cat impeccably well and keeps us updated with WhatsApp photos/videos on every visit. Bev also ensures our home is secure and locked after each visit. Thankfully our pet has not been unwell whilst we have been away, but I am confident that Bev would address any illness issues of our cat swiftly and keep us informed. Thank you for all you do!
Our dog Bertie has a lovely time at daycare with Happy Pets and Paws. Bev makes sure all of the dogs get on well, they have different walks every day and lots of one on one interaction too as they are never in a big group. We also get lots of updates and videos on their walks. Would highly recommend for any daycare or walking services.
For assurance that your dogs and cats are in good hands when you go on holiday then get peace of mind with Bev at Happy Pets and Paws in Ilminster. After many years of excellent, caring attention we would highly recommend Bev. We have cats - at times many cats! - and they really do enjoy staying at home rather than going away for their holiday. They were getting stressed being taken away to holiday homes and then again on the return trip. Bev allows them to remain in their own familiar home in stress free surroundings. We have had cats with a wide range of ages and requirements, including some old timers like us requiring medications, but Bev provides all the care they need. As she is a qualified veterinary nurse, this is an obvious bonus because we know that she will spot if something is not right and will be on hand to sort it out. Bev also keeps us updated while we are away and you can hear the love and attention she provides. We have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who wants a professional, caring and friendly ‘mum’ to keep your pampered ones happy while you are away.
Honey has a fabulous time with Bev and Flora (and the rest of the gang) Bev provides a caring service with excellent communication and is flexible with our working hours. We have used HPP for boarding as well and it is reassuring knowing Honey has so much fun while we are away. We especially like that Bev only accepts well mannered and sociable dogs. Would highly recommend and we intend to continue sending Honey to HPP for many years to come!
Highly qualified, very professional dog Walker and carer. Unhappy that we hadn’t used all of the same commands as she uses, for dog training. Has a very small garden. Own dog and our dog just didn’t click? No idea why. So despite having paid lots of money for a holiday we had to then cancel. When we tried to book again we were rejected. Lots of time wasted as we wanted someone for emergencies and dog free occasions like Weddings . Paid for test visits, and accepted. Then when we needed help we had to start searching all over again. I’m disabled and have limited mobility so this was a big problem.
My dog has been going to Happy Pets & Paws for daycare for about 7 years now, and still absolutely loves it. Bev provides a very high quality service and always puts the dogs and their welfare first, all whilst being extremely professional and totally reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.

I have really taken exception to the woman who complained about her dog being taken into the paddock, attended by a member of staff and her dog. She said her dog was not to go with the rest of the dogs, because he had been attacked by dogs in a park and therefore was of a nervous disposition. I applaud this member of staff, she obviously felt sorry for this poor dog, watching all the others playing and decided to let her dog run around in the paddock with her dog only. He was safe and happy.There was no reason for this woman to become so belligerent . These kennels are fantastic and so are the members of staff! Our dog Woody, starts barking his head off in the car, as we get within 2 miles of this place. He adores the staff and happily trots in to his kennel. I think the paddock is magic. It allows the dogs to race around and socialise. We live 40 minutes away, and we have five kennels within 3 miles of our home, but we will always place Woody at Elwell.
We have taken our dog Bob here a number of times. The best recommendation as far as I'm concerned is that he goes in quite happily. He has a good memory for places and has his own way of showing clearly if he does not want to go somewhere!! I would definately recommend the grooming service. I always book him a session while he is there as he loves the attention and comes home looking fabulous.
We have left our dog at Elwell on a number of occasions with no issue. Last summer we used them again for our Lurcher. Our dog absolutely loves people, but is often nervous around others dogs as she has been attacked on a number of occasions. As a result she can be a little funny with other dogs at times and I am very careful which dogs I let her play with. And as her owner, I know how to read her signs. I always specify when I leave her at Elwell that she is NOT to be let into the paddock with other dogs and believed that this was respected and she was kept separate from them. However, on collection, the young lady who was there when I collected her, let slip that she had allowed my dog to run around in the paddock with her own terrier. When I mentioned that this was not what I had requested and that my dog should have been kept separate, she said 'Oh, well I thought they would be fine'. To add to this, my dog was filthy. Apparently vet bedding is used. Well, I can only assume it was not changed very often at all because she needed a good bath when I got her home. This year we are taking her elsewhere. I will never use Elwell again!

Always use this kennel as excellent with animals. Even when our other dog was old and needed medication nothing was too much trouble. More importantly dogs have always gone in happily.

Barking Mad Taunton found us the perfect host for our two dogs while we had a lovely holiday knowing our dogs were being well cared for. After the distress they suffered after their last time in kennels this is the perfect solution. Will certainly use them again.
I have multiple animals that I love, but also love going away on holiday. The looks my dog gives me when I pack my case makes me feel so guilty for leaving him behind. Jo has provided superb care for my dog,horse, cat and chickens. She moves into my house meaning the animals are able to stay in their own enviroment. She makes sure she sticks to their regular routine making the separation from their family stress free. Knowing they are being so well cared for means I can enjoy my break. Sometimes she even brings her own dog, who mine has become best buddies with. I always know I will come back to a tidy house and happy pets. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Amazing dog care! Jo’s love for animals is so evident and the care she gives is so bespoke. Nothing is a problem. If we’re running late or early with our dog, it’s never a problem. A really personable down to earth lovely lady who is trusted by our dog and our whole family!

I have taken my rescue dog to Tracey at Pondarosa, after hearing many good reports over the years. I have used the Boarding kennels I have worked at for over 30 years but now with new owners with different standards ,I decided to try Pondarosa I must say I am very impressed ! I highly recommend Pondarosa the staff are lovely and my dog goes in eagerly.Very clean and the added bonus of a free run area . Thank you Tracey for the welcome and peace of mind I have leaving Dora with you.
I very rarely write reviews unless something is outstanding (either way, good or bad). I was looking for a 2nd kennel in case my current kennels were busy. Very abrupt and dismissive on phone. Essentially, we don't want your business as you own a Bullmastiff. Was told this breed does not kennel well (tar and brush come to mind). Fortunately my current kennels do not feel that way, and welcomes my dog often.
Monty and Bella love their stays at Pondarosa and always come back happy and healthy. Very lovely kind and caring staff who obviously form a good bond with the dogs they look after so well. Lovely outdoor enclosed area where the dogs can run around safely. Highly recommend.

My two dogs, Titch and Toby have just spent the last week at Pondarosa and we couldn't have been more happy with the service and the attention our dogs received. A super family run kennels in beautiful surroundings. The staff were amazing and eased any worries of leaving our pooches behind with them, lovely clean kennels and our holiday was made easier knowing they were in safe hands. We highly recommend using pondarosa and will be using them again in the future.
Always worried about putting my dogs in Kennels but not anymore. My Dog Yogi flies out the car when he gets there and runs to the gate tail wagging and as soon as it’s open he’s gone. Makes me feel happy to go away knowing he is happy too. Thank you for looking after him so well.
