We were delighted that Didier and Pascal could sit for us again, this time in our new home. They were happy to arrive the evening before our departure just to be sure of the layout of our new house. We were kept up to date with the cats, and Didier looked after our swimming pool and watered our many plants We needed to return 2 days early and they were very accommodating and agreed to the new arrangement. Gen and Rory have just finished a six week long sit for me. They agreed to return after a much shorter sit in May. Fantastic sitters! I cannot recommend them highly enough. I’ve had lots of very good cat/housesitters and some have done repeat sits but without doubt Gen and Rory are top of my list. They are trustworthy, reliable and communicate well. They are also very self sufficient and sensible. They made sure they understood exactly what was needed before I left and noted all relevant dates for treatments etc. My house was left immaculate and well cared for. I got regular updates on the cats and Gen and Rory dealt very competently with an injury one of my cats sustained whilst I was away. When I came back he was healing well having had excellent care for a wound. They kept me updated from the moment the injury was discovered and couldn’t have been more diligent in his care. Gen and Rory also administered regular worming and tick treatment with no problem. On my return it was clear to me that the cats were happy. They were around the house when I got home which is always a good sign that they have been happy in my absence. Gen and Rory solved small problems in the house in a very independent way as I would have done when at home. Living on an Island that is an important attribute. There are no 24 hour tradespeople etc. They also fitted in well with our island community swimming with my local Bluetits group and several friends who got to know them are keen for them to look after their pets. They also helped me out by posting a couple of things to me that I had forgotten or had arrived after I left. If you need pet or housesitters I think it would be difficult to beat the high standard Gen and Rory provide. Such lovely people that seemed to fit in with ease and were immediately accepted in our little community. You are welcome back anytime Gen and Rory. Thank you.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
