I had an absolutely wonderful sit here! Sami and Garth are two of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet, and Kali is amazing as well! They will fill you with unconditional love, and I miss them a lot! Tricia's home is absolutely beautiful and unique, filled with plants of all kinds, and has a wonderful energy. The surrounding area has amazing mountain views and trails to walk. I didn't really venture out too much because I just loved being in this home. Tricia left great instructions for the house and pets, and she went over everything I would need to know during my time. I would highly recommend this sit, and I would love to come back!
We had an awesome time at Maria & Glenn's house. Not only is their location perfect (close to SB and Goleta) but the backyard is it's own sanctuary. Viggo is such a goofy, sweet dog with a bunch of personality! We had lots of fun walking him around the area in the morning and evening. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!
I had a wonderful time sitting Gidget and Bonnie. They were excellent companions. Nate and Emily were very nice and helpful. The house is cozy and two minutes to a subway station from where you can reach Manhattan in ten minutes. The neighborhood is very lively and safe, supermarket are also near by. I would come back, if the cats and their parents want me to. I highly recommend this sit. ❤️
Lidia and Mauricio truly made a difference in my experience with their pets. Their warmth and kindness stood out from the beginning, always available and attentive to our needs. The dedication they gave to Becky and Cookie, two charming furballs, was evident; their love for walks and cuddles made them adorable companions, easy to care for, and surprisingly well-behaved. Begemot, the noble cat, became my shadow, showing his affection by choosing to sleep on me, hahaha, an anecdote that made each day special! Luna, with her independence and tenderness, created tender moments seeking affection in her own way. The house, with its cozy and warm atmosphere, provided the perfect setting for relaxation, and the opportunity to explore the surroundings was a delightful bonus. I highlight the proximity to a ski station, a 20-minute walk away, allowing us to enjoy and quickly return to attend to our beloved pets, a benefit that made a difference. In summary, everything was perfect, undoubtedly highly recommended. The only downside is that you'll miss them a lot afterward. An experience we will remember with joy!
Thank you, Lulu. This was a fabulous sit in Cardiff. We arrived the evening before Lulu and her family departed and so had plenty of time to get to know them and be shown around the property. We had our own large bedroom and access to two bathrooms and the well-equipped kitchen. The house also had a swimming pool, which we were thankful for as Cardiff was experiencing a heat wave. The property is quite large but we were abley assisted in looking after it by a gardner who came in once a week and a cleaner. On our arrivale, we were given an enthusiastic welcome by Daisy and Flossy, two of the most intelligent, affection and attentive dogs we’ve looked after. And then, of course, there was Alfie, the kitten who thinks he is a dog. The girls behaved beautifully whenever we took them out for a walk, and at home, they followed us everywhere as if we were the new Best Friends Forever. As for Alfie…you should rename him ‘Ferrari’ his purr is so loud. Thank you once again for giving us the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home and explore Cardiff and the surrounding countryside. And of course to enjoy the company of Flossy, Daisy and Alfie. We miss them already.
Jessica's home is in a beautiful and peaceful location. Nero was friendly and appreciative of strokes and attention. Bebe and Gallina were lovely to watch and feed and gave some delicious eggs. A wonderful sit.

Our dog Bandit had a great stay at the Crooked Rooster Dog Resort! They sent me regular pictures of him and daily communication about how he was doing. When I picked him up he looked super happy and tired from playing with all the other dogs. Will definitely use their services again in the future!
The Crooked Rooster Dog Resort is the ideal place for dogs. My dogs loved their time with Stacey. She is a real life dog whisperer. There is so much room for them to run around and so many friends to play with. Stacey treats every dog like they are family, even my lab puppy who ran through the garden and enjoyed barking at nothing what so ever before even the rooster woke up. It is such a great feeling to know that when we have to leave our dogs, they are not only safe and cared for, but blissfully happy. Highly recommend!!
Amazing experience. Stacey kept me updated with photos of my dog’s adventures. My dog had so much fun in their large fenced in yard, and came home so happy and tuckered out. Will definitely be back
Both my dogs and I always always have a great experience at this location. The hosts are very knowledgeable and kind. Stacey seems to know just what my puppers need for the day. Some times is lots of attention, too the freedom to just be a dog with all their friends that come. She also picks up on things for follow up with me in pick up times to ensure their best doggy life ever!
Our dog has been staying with Stacy for years – from being an energetic pup to a more mellow 9 year old. In all ages, he’s always been excited to come play, and always happily tired when we pick him up. He loves the large yard to play with other dogs in or to have quiet time investigating on his own. We trust Stacy and family with him when we’re on long trips and out of the country, knowing she’ll make good judgement calls if needed and give him nurturing TLC at his home-away-from-home.
We always take our dog to The Crooked Rooster whenever we are away. Stacey is kind and gentle we know our pup is well cared for. There is a very large fenced area for the dogs to run and play. Highly recommended for anyone needing care for their dog(s) while they are away, overnights or even just for the day!

The Crooked Rooster Dog Resort is our #1 doggie day and overnight care in the Grass Valley area. Our dog Rocket is always so excited when being boarded at The Crooked Rooster.
