We had such a lovely time at Rebecca’s! Daisy is such a sweet and surprisingly friendly cat, and we really enjoyed having a peaceful weekend in Glasgow. Super comfortable and clean house, amazing clear instructions in the welcome guide, and great communication from Rebecca. Perfect hosts! We would definitely recommend this to other house sitters :)
Fiona and Neil were wonderful hosts, excellent communication throughout and accommodating. Their cat Purdey was a delight to look after, we all fell in love with her and she is so well behaved and great company. We would love to return in the future.
Too simple... 5+ THUMBS UP! We love the adventure in what we do. And this sit felt as adventurous as any we have done. Instantaneously felt at home upon arriving. Great connection with Marianne and Stu (our kind'a people). Only a short time getting to know prior to their departure, but had "that feeling" of reuniting with long time friends. And were lucky enough to get to enjoy an evening of dinner and chat on their return day. Fantastic couple! Just when we think we have life all figured out, they go ahead and inspire us to dream even bigger! BIG THANKS Marianne and Stu for all you generosity. Words can not really do their home and property justice, so will let the 5 THUMBS UP say it all. Their home sits on and amongst the mountains with panoramic views that are unsurpassed. Simply breathtaking! Extremely comfortable home with so many outdoor activities to keep us occupied and happy. The garden (ate from daily), the chickens (supplied all our eggs and endless entertainment), the grapes growing (which Stu encouraged us to make a giant batch of raisins), Marianne's bees (ate more honey in one week than I've eaten in the past 5 years) and so much more. If you are not an outdoor person, I would not want this sit wasted on you HA! This should only go to people who love and appreciate nature. The wildlife is abundant. Maybe the most we have ever seen in one location (and almost all right out the front window of the house). All varieties of birds within arms length of viewing, a bear on our very first day, too many deer to even count and even a rattlesnake (don't be alarmed, as I'd been hiking many miles just trying to find one). Babbling on and on, but pretty sure the point is made that this is truly a nature lovers paradise. OK, our real reason for being here to begin with. Bear, Tandi and Suki. What can we say... they stole our hearts right from day one. These dogs are a perfect match to this property and home. A combination of outside/inside dogs. They run free, hunt and protect because that is their purpose in life. With all the hiking and bushwhacking that we did on this sit, never had a worry in the world of stumbling across a wild animal and getting in a situation. 100% certain that we were well protected at all times. And although I would call these rugged outdoor dogs, they kept us just as much company indoors as well (we may have overly spoiled them just a tad). Super sweet, lovable and cuddly dogs that love nothing more than be involved with everything and anything we were doing. Only been gone one day and missing them already. Think that pretty much sums things up. We have no doubt we will return (for a future sit or maybe just a simple visit with new friends). Adding this experience to a long list of FOREVER MEMORIES.
