Luna and Sam's cottage and garden were a delight. Sam left flowers and food which lasted me for the first week. Thanks! Was very lucky with the weather so sat out a lot in the italienesque courtyard and walled garden with Luna who enjoyed the sunshine and had her 'hiding' place at the back. The cottage was very comfy and with some real special touches. Luna followed me around and had her own sitting/sleeping places. Communication was good at all times via WhatsApp. Sam left me her New Forest parking disc which was very convenient. Note: Sam warned me about Luna not liking other dogs and I found out about this soon enough when we ran into some other local farm dogs so I stayed clear and walked her in the quiet areas around the cottage and in the new forest (beautiful) 5 mins in car, where I could eventually let her off leash if no one there and we both really enjoyed it. Would and will happily sit again!
It was an absolute pleasure to hang out with Leia and Luna - they are so easy to be with. Sara and Philippe made me feel so welcomed, too. Their home is so cosy, inspiring and inviting, I actually had to kick myself out a few times to enjoy the city. The station is not far at all and you can get groceries within walking distance. A happy sit!
Colleen was a great communicator and adaptable to make a last minute sit work. Soba was super friendly, meeting me at the door even in my first visit. He loves cuddles, so definitely needs a sitter. He's not with you 24/7, but loves cuddles when he is. We had fun playing with some of his toys. Colleen's place is super handy to town, shops and buses. She was lovely to deal with. I felt very welcome staying. It's nice watching the sunset from her deck.
Deb & Kim and their fur family were all great hosts. Their house was comfortable and welcoming and had a great location. Dani, Peat, and Bohdi were all so cuddly and sweet. They were all easy to take care of and well behaved, we enjoyed walks, the backyard and cuddles and lots of purring from Bohdi. I Would sit for them again and would also recommend others to sit for them too.
