Tiger and Cabrera are sweetiepies. It was a cinch to take care of them and I enjoyed our walks together in Lincoln Park, which is literally right around the corner from the apartment. Tiger is an adorable cuddler who wanted to stay near my feet or next to me on the couch, ready for a belly rub. On walks she does like to stop 'n' sniff a lot, or just stop and rest if it's hot out. Still, it was always pleasant and easy to walk with her. Cabrera is the slightly more independent and energetic one, and would gently remind me with her body language and a little "smile" when it was time to go outside or pass a few treats her way. On walks she was always very well-behaved and just happy to be outdoors, and would probably have walked for hours if I'd had the energy! Marcie and Jason were very gracious and friendly, and gave me a tour of the apartment before they left. We kept in contact via text during their camping trip, and Marcie always answered my questions. The apartment is near lots of restaurants and stores, in a very clean and safe neighborhood. Meeting such cute furbabies and being in a great location made my little "staycation" worthwhile. :) Thank you, Marcie and Jason!
Love CJ and her sweet, easy-going cat Thelma. Thelma is the perfect lap kitty- she will jump up on your lap while you watch TV. Thelma keep her distance for the first day or two, then she will warm up and be very cuddly. CJ has a lovely home with lots of great photos on display that she has taken over the years, and she provides a spacious guest bedroom and bathroom to sleep in. Thelma is very easy-going and easy to take care of. And also in a great area of Albuquerque- very safe suburban neighborhood near the mountainside, and also near a lot of stores and restaurants.
This was a dream pet-sitting experience. Cailie is not only super sweet, but she has really beautiful markings. Jeanne was a fabulous host. Her directions and packet were thorough and accurate. I was able to easily follow all of the instructions. The house was very comfortable and full of sunshine. The location was fantastic. It is set in the historic district of their town, just steps away from all the charming shops & restaurants on Main Street, so you never had to worry with parking. It is also perfectly located for a variety of day trips: Harpers Ferry, Charles Town, Washington D.C., and more. I highly, highly recommend.
