It was such a pleasure to sit for Heather’s sweet kitties! While I wasn’t able to meet Heather in person, she was warm and welcoming and gave clear instructions on how to take care of Ian and Macchia and her home. She even arranged for her father to be there to meet me and show me the house and answer my questions when I arrived. Heather was amazing to communicate with both before and during the sit - she responded to all my messages promptly and even helped me with the TV remote controls over the phone while she was in Italy! She also provided a variety of ways to get in touch with her during the sit. Ian and Macchia were very sweet and easy to take care of. Along with a detailed Welcome Guide, Heather made a helpful video showing how to feed them and how to mix Ian’s liquid medicine into his food. Ian loves to eat and lets you know when he’s hungry; Macchia’s a little shy at first, but she warmed up to me and asked for petting. Heather’s house is absolutely lovely, filled with art, wine, and books from their travels. My bedroom was beautiful with a very comfortable bed and plenty of closet space. I loved spending time out back on the large, screened-in patio with a pool, hot tub, and comfortable seating. Between the birdfeeder and the trees outside, I saw and heard a lot of wildlife. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and nice for a walk and the house is very close to a Publix, about 10 or 15 minutes from a variety of shops and restaurants, and only about a half-hour from Tampa. I had a wonderful time at this sit and wouldn’t hesitate to sit for Ian and Macchia again!
I had a wonderful month looking after Katinka and Zero, a rare pair of very affectionate, talkative and playful cats. Madeleine was an amazing host who answered all my questions quickly and made me feel at home. It was wonderful staying in a house with such charming character, especially on some very hot days when the house stayed nice and cool!
As my first sit on Trusted House Sitters I was so lucky to have such a beautiful host! Charlie and Phil and their boys are a wonderful and welcoming family and I felt so comfortable in their home. Bobby and Sophie were very easy to look after and they were really friendly from the start. Loved the cuddles on the couch! The Guinea pigs were no hassle as well. The house is also in a brilliant location and very clean and well maintained. 10/10 would recommend this sit! 😊

I loved everything about this sit and glad I visited Copenhagen! Saga is an adorable little girl and, since I had to work and stayed in a lot, she's been the perfect companion, funny and very affectionate. James and Katie have been welcoming and very easy to communicate with since the first second, while away they were fast to respond to my daily updates and were so kind to send beautiful pictures of their travel too. Their home is comfortable and beautifully styled, filled with a lot of daily light and beautiful books, the mattress of the double bed is five star, is super well located and close to all amenities, nice cafes and wine bars. Definitely recommend! X
Peter was relaxed, easy to talk to, very helpful and provided all the necessary information before and during the house sit. He was available for questions via text and left heaps of info about the area and where to explore as well. George, Finley and Pepper have the most wonderful natures and are simply a joy. The walks in the area are beautiful and vary in length to suit both of their needs as George is an elderly gent and likes to take his time while Finley is a little torpedo! St Austell is a lovely village and perfectly placed with access to some breath taking beaches. We hired a car on this occasion but noticed many buses and the bus stop was very close to Peter’s place.
