Just brilliant! We left our 2 year old German Shepherd with Lesley and John for 4 days. This was the first time she had been away from us, and I was really anxious. Lesley took all the time I needed to answer my questions and was very reassuring that our dog would be well looked after and that they were very experienced with big dogs. It could not have gone better for us. John took the dog straight into the kennel as soon as we arrived with no fuss and no time for any of us, including the dog, to get stressed. We picked up a really calm and relaxed dog, who was obviously very comfortable around Lesley and John. Thank you so much Kookie Kennels, it's great to know that we have somewhere to leave the dog when we need to go away and know that she will be well cared for.

Put our Jack Russell Daisy into Kookie Kennels for a three week stay over this November and on return it was obvious our dog had a great time and was returned to us a very happy and healthy dog. Can't thank Lesley enough for the job she did looking after Daisy. Absolute professional and caring outfit.

"If Carlsberg did Kennels" Left our year old Border Collie Abe with John and Lesley for 16 days after they were recommended to us by a close friend. He absoloutely loved his stay and came home very relaxed and happy They went above and beyond to provide for him as he has struggled in.previous kennels and become very stressed.. Lesley and John are not only thouroughly proffesional in what they do but also extremely nice people. They made my wife and I feel at ease about his stay from the first telephone conversation and that continued throughout the whole process. In addition to all that we were given realy useful tips about training and enrichment with both John and Lesley having extensive knowledge about dogs. There enthusiasm is contagious! They clearly have a passion for what they do and make time in there busy schedule to speak to you. Great kennels great people. Won't send Abe anywhere else. Thanks Lesley and John

We've used these kennels 3 times now and Angus really likes going there. Lesley and John are very good with the dogs and Angus gets very excited to see them when he arrives there. The kennels are very new and clean and each kennel is completely separated from the neighbouring kennel which I think is more calming and less stressful for the dogs as they can't see the other dogs surrounding them. I wanted to book some dates for our dog here this month at short notice and unfortunately they are full so I have been trying to find alternative accommodation for my dog. There are quite a few other kennel businesses who discriminate against particular breeds such as bull breeds and refuse to take them so we have had some issues finding somewhere as nice as Kookie kennels to look after our big rescue bull breed dog. :( I would definitely recommend Kookie kennels.

Absolutely fantastic! Best place we've ever used! They take such good care of our Dog, he loves spending time here, and you can tell Lesley & John clearly adore dogs!

Our rescue dog Oscar (a Doberman) was going into kennels for the first time since only being with us for 2 years. He didn’t take to life in rescue centres before having had multiple owners, had lost half his body weight and was very wary of humans. We were very nervous how he would be. Can’t say enough how professional and helpful Lesley was when making the booking. Totally interested in Oscar and such a great manner. Picked him up after 2 weeks holiday and he was great. Lesley and John both were brilliant. We know Oscar was looked after as it looked like he didn’t want to leave! Would have no hesitation in leaving him at Kookie Kennels in the future. Would just like to say a huge thank to Lesley and John, it’s obvious they are animal lovers, they take a personal interest in your pet which is so reassuring. First class service.

Put my dog in here for 20 days while we were on holiday. Love Kennels, very nice people and Sam (the dog) seemed very content. Will definitely use the kennels again and highly recommend this kennel

Our dog, Dennis, spent 9 nights with John and Lesley earlier this month. I can't speak highly enough of the kennels that they own and run. He's not the easiest character around other dogs and was still having to take it easy after having cruciate ligament surgery. Lesley and John took time to think about what would work best for him while he was there and we could go on holiday without worrying! He came out a very happy boy and will be a regular visitor in the future!😊

Highly recommend. I put my wee yorkie in for a week and was worried as he has never been away for that long before and can be slightly anxious but absolutely nothing to worry about. He loved it and was looked after very very well by Lesley and John. After going to see many kennels I knew instantly this was the one as I got the best vibe from them both and could tell they are great at looking after the dogs. Wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Thanks so much to you both for keeping wee Diesel happy and safe. Made my holiday even better knowing he was in good hands. Thanks again. Great place for the doggies. 😀

I was super anxious and upset at leaving my 2 boys because I’ve never left them with anyone other than family but I felt so reassured when I met Julie and she took me around the kennels. Great kennels recommend to us for our Romanian rescue dog. She has been there a several times now and she loves it. She is always well cared for and it’s very clean. The owners are dedicated experts and I have no hesitation it recommending these kennels to anyone.

I booked the boathouse for a special family lunch. We were travelling from Scotland to Ireland so all contact was via email. Feargal the manager booked us in straight away and increased our numbers at very short notice. All contact after was with cathleen, a more helpful girl you could not meet. So, food - 2nd to none, service - 2nd to none, special care taken of booking - 2nd to none, location 2nd to none - all in all a 5 star review well deserved. No hesitation in recommending this fabulous restaurant and the team who will be taking care of you. Don't look anywhere else book the boathouse and you will not regret it. Amazing food, beautiful surroundings, fantastic staff. Everyone in our party is already making arrangements to go back for dinner. This will be our 'go to' place for dinner any time we are over visiting. Thank you boathouse team for making a special birthday extra special.

We have used Aiket Kennels for many years and have always been very pleased with the care our dogs get.

Had been using Aiket for 3 years for our dog and cat but then the pandemic came so no holidays, no need for kennels. With restrictions over we were off on holiday recently so our dog and cat had their own holiday with Gavin and Julie once again. It felt like we had never been away from the kennels as Gavin and Julie were as friendly and welcoming as ever. The kennels are also in a beautiful location so I thoroughly recommend them . **Update January 2023 - we received a text from Aiket saying that as of the 1st April 2023 they will no longer be doing collections or pickups, no reasons given. This is beyond disappointing for us because we are not drivers and Aiket are in the middle of nowhere with no public transport in their area so we will not be able to use them again after the 1st April, we are gutted. This is the absolute best kennels hands down that we have ever found. Julie and Gavin are very caring and pay scrupulous attention to the foibles and needs of our sensitive pooch, giving absolutely top class service. She always returns home so happy and lively after her hollies with them. They are the Only ones we trust with our girl and we cannot recommend them highly enough - thank you Julie and Gavin!

Great kennels. I have put my dogs in here for the past few holidays and wouldn't put them in anywhere else. The staff are great, the kennels are very clean and my dogs are always very well looked after. I would recommend them to anyone looking for boarding kennels in the area.

I have two very elderly cats and have used North Ayrshire Pet Sitters for a few years. They have been great making sure both cats are safe and well and providing the daily medication. Its reassuring to get regular pictures and updates. Highly recommend their services.

North Ayrshire Pet sitters have looked after our 2 cats for over a year and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I have had many occasions this year where I have had to travel down south for family emergencies and Lorraine has always managed to accommodate me and I’ve not had to worry about my cats once.

As one of North Ayrshire Pet Sitters earliest customers the fact that we are still using their service a decade later speaks for itself. We are now on our second generation of cats and always have complete peace of mind that they are being taken care of properly; not simply fed but getting play and fussing during the visits. We receive daily updates with pictures, and we know that we will come home to find them well tended and befriended.

Our cat Molly was recently looked after by the girls and we could not recommend them highly enough. They visited us before our holiday to meet us and Molly, gave us a time they would be visiting which was stuck to every day and send messages and pictures every day which put our minds at complete rest. Highly recommend Lorraine at North Ayrshire Pet Sitters. I have been using Lorraine for about 2 years since our eldest cat found it too stressful to go to cattery. Lorraine comes to the house, feeds them, sends updates and nothing is too much trouble, especially when I forget to leave extra treats. She also looks after the chickens, which is an added bonus. The kids love to get a picture through of the cats snoozing around the house. I trust Lorraine 100% and throughout the recent covid times she has put in extra reassuring measures. Highly recommend

Absolutely outstanding service from Lorraine and Lorna. Otto has come on no end with his confidence and is now out walking alongside his pals and spends the weekend sulking until Monday comes around again.

We have an oddball assortment of rescue and ex-feral cats so a cattery isn’t really an option for us. Also, asking friends or relatives to look in on our cats twice a day feels a bit too much when everyone is busy….but, thankfully, Lorraine from North Ayrshire Pet Sitters came to our rescue! We were able to go away for an over-night break, safe in the knowledge that Lorraine would be popping in to feed them their breakfast and dinner and making sure they were all ok. Lorraine sent us a wee picture of the cats when she popped in to see them, and I have to say it was really nice to see them looking content whilst we weren't there and gave us great peace of mind. We returned home to very happy cats! Based on our recent experience I would 100% highly recommend Lorraine from North Ayrshire Pet Sitters to anyone looking for a pet sitter.

Lorraine at North Ayrshire Pet Sitters has been looking after my 8 month pup for the last year and has been very accommodating with late requests due to my work schedule. She has been really great with my lab and always sends photos when out on walks or playing which is good updates. Lorraine is good with nervous or wary dogs as she is very patient and understanding .

I've been using this business for over 18 months now & Lorraine has taken my dog for walks in all kinds of weather, she has never let us down. I am disabled & was worried about my dog not getting enough exercise or having to be left alone too long while I attend hospital appointments so called on this business to help, I have never regretted it. My dog waits at the window for her to arrive every time so he's obviously happy & that's what I wanted. Trustworthy, cheerful & reliable, her attention to detail due to the Coronavirus lately has to be admired, her van has everything she needs to keep herself & her 'clients' safe. Highly recommend this business to look after your pets.

great wee pet shop I always get my dogs number 2 bags there in a roll diffrent colors for 69p and last about a week and I also buy the doggy deodarant or cologne for dogs it says on bottle (baby powder) for £7 which I bought 3 weeks ago and still got half a bottle left frontline flea control £10 so highly recommend

Deborah is slave to all the cats and gives them the absolute best of everything.

Couldn't ask for better to look after your pet. Deborah takes really good care of your cat and genuinely cares about them. My cat Boba has been at her cattery a few times and there has never been any probms. Can't recommend highly enough.

This is the best cattery I have been to. The place is spotlessly clean you would not know your in a building full of cats not 1 smell. Owner is very pleasant and from.what I see very good at her job

Cant recommend Stuarts enough. I've been using Stuarts 4 days a week for a year now. My dog is well loved and looked after, Stuart has been very helpful with training tips and advice. Staff have all been great in adhering to my dogs needs and 9 out of 10 times he doesn't want to leave when I pick him up. His tail goes nuts every morning when he walks in. Highly recommend

My bulldog seamus has been here for over a year and he loves it. The staff are great with him and know their stuff. Stuart has an exceptional knowledge and offers help and guidance where required. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Stuart has been really helpful and the knowledge he has shared has been invaluable in training our Frenchie. We have also started to use his dog walking service which has helped socialise and tire out Rocco. Highly recommend.

Our dogs love going to Stuart,he is like one of the family to them and we always feel at ease when the dogs are with him.Cant recommend enough.

Malcolm what a star. I believe he's the dog whisperer. My dogs all walk over to him. They just love him. They all get on and I'm so happy when we're away that they're in good care. It's a little bit harder to find but worth every penny. My dogs love him. They think ,Great we're going on a holiday.

Just used Ellandee for 2 nights for my furba y Mala to see how she would be before I have any holidays this year. When we were met she was a bit wary. But Malcolm hunched down to her level and let her come to him and gained her trust. When led away she did not look back as happy to go. I contacted the kennels on Sunday morning after her first night just to see she had got kn okay. Within 5 mins Fiona replied and let me know she had settled great and was eating her meals. I felt really relaxed .. and she looked so happy and at ease when I collected her ... would highly recommend and will be using their services for any holidays or work trips I have .. thank you for the care you give ❤

Wouldn't use again unfortunately, my dog was in for a week and when we got him home 3 out of 4 of his paw pads looked like they had been frost burned. The setup there can't be good enough for winter conditions. He was also sick the first night home which looked like watery blood. No issues since thankfully. He had a bath before being left there and smelt terrible once he was home. Just not good enough for a kennel in my opinion.

Having a large dog with issues they managed her very well. Very friendly couple and the kennels were very clean. Will definitely use again in future

I have now used Ellendee on two occasions and I cannot thank the owners enough for looking after my Lexie ! She seems to like it there and I would be more than happy to use these brilliant kennels again

As the new owner of 2 9-year-old cats I had to find someone to look after them for me for a short time. I found Ellandee and can't praise them enough. My cats were well looked after - and she knew a lot more about their needs than I did at that time (I only had dogs up till this point). In fact, I'm just about to phone to try and book them back in when I go on holiday this year.

Highly recommend ellendee the owners are friendly and love the animals that stay with them the kennels were clean and tidy and of a good size, my dog luna is a sensitive wee soul and i was worried she wouldnt like it she stayed with them for 4 days and she was perfectly happy when i picked her up we will definitely be using their services again for future holidays.

Had my cat jasper in Ellendee for a few days. He seemed happy and would use Ellendee again. The people were very helpful and kept me updated while in hospital. I will be using Ellendee again
