Cat Sitters in Bellair Meadowbrook Terrace, FL

Frank and Patty were initially our choice for a sit that was to have happened two years ago, but a hurricane caused that trip to cancel. They were available for a trip fortunately and we were excited to have them. They are a couple that seems to enjoy adventure and trying new lifestyles, having lived on a sailboat in the Caribbean and now living on a large trawler houseboat between sits. I wish we'd had more time to hear their stories because it sounds fascinating! They were very flexible and able to arrive the night before we left so we could introduce them to our house and property, and give them the details of the dogs routines. They kept us informed of everything during our trip. When we returned, the house was cleaner than when we left! They went above and beyond by even doing the laundry AND making the bed! I could not have asked for better sitters- the dogs clearly were well kept and happy, and barely noticed that we were gone I suspect. I am so glad we were finally able to have them sit for us and wouldn't hesitate to invite them again.

Everything about John's stay in our mountain home worked out well for us. John helped us out in a lurch when our previous confirmed sitter canceled her stay. This was huge, as we were getting down to the wire on an overseas trip. In addition to patiently winning over our somewhat recalcitrant cat, John took excellent care of our home. Our neighbors liked him, we enjoyed getting to meet him, and our cat Bob, misses John to this day.

A huge thank you to Marcy for her caring and loving sitting for our puppy while we were away for an extended vacation. Our home was immaculate when we returned, Bella was happy, and we appreciate her communicating with us to let us know all was going well! Thank you, Marcy, and I would recommend her for your pet care and housesitting!

Catherine was simply amazing. It was her second time staying with our buddy - she came with a friend the first time, and this time she was alone part of the time and with her husband part of the time. Our boy was so, so happy to see her. She kept to his routine perfectly, and sent us regular updates and lots of pictures (which we asked her to!), all of which showed our boy to be totally at ease and relaxed. It was the first time our going away was not an ordeal for him. And it wasn't, at all. He had a great time. And, on return, our house was so clean that we wouldn't have known anyone had even been here, other than the fact that there were some homemade lemon bars waiting for us in the fridge. And above all, Catherine is lovely - she has a great manner with animals is a joy to communicate with. She did everything she said she would do, to a T. Catherine will be our first call anytime we are looking for a sitter!

What is the absolutely WORST thing that can happen? Your pets abandoned, with zero notice and the inability to get the "sitter" to respond to inquiries about your pets' status while you're in Hawaii panicking about your pets in California. Then, when you're able to get a friend to check on the status of your home and pets (because Claudia would not respond to me), you find that your house has been left wide open and unlocked. There was also a general lack of attention to the pets. She sent me a photo of my cat and asked me "who is this one". The cat in the photo was the cat she was supposed to be caring for. I found out she locked my cat out and let a stray in, instead. When I inquired further, I didn't hear anything for more than 24 hours despite reach out out a couple of times. Okay - but what about her side of the story? Claudia had a legitimate gripe, the cats were keeping her up at night because of an unusual situation: We've recently had to keep the cats inside at night because we had a problem with a skunk. The cats wanted to go in/out at will as they were accustomed to. I think the big, festering problem is that she didn't alert me to any of this until after 3 nights. My IMMEDIATE response to Claudia upon learning this was: "Oh, no. What a nightmare!! I am so sorry!! Let me try to think of a solution. Is the problem with both cats, or just Bing Bing" and "Wow - that is not okay!! What can I do? If I have someone take your place, is that better for you?" I also offered to have my daughter pick up the offending cat so that Claudia could finish her stay, if that's what she preferred. Note: the words in quotations are exact quotes of my messages. I was willing to stop everything to deal with Claudia's concerns immediately and do just about anything that would have made her happy. I even told her she could leave the cats for a few days (she lives less than 2 hours away) if she needed a break. Claudia also found the internet not fast enough. This is something we explicitly discussed before the sit - I had recently noticed that the internet had been less consistent than a few months ago. Claudia assured me that she understood and has an "amplifier" to plug into the wall that would be enough. When it wasn't, and she let me know, within MINUTES of learning this, I was on the phone to Verizon - I thought I had the fastest service, but apparently they changed things (which explains why I noticed a slowdown) and there was now faster service, so I increased it immediately. [For any potential future pet sitters, there is a simple "speed test" I can do that will measure the exact upload/download speed. She thought there was an issue with the washer/dryer, but that turned out to be user error. The power went out one time for 40 minutes. This is, unfortunately, not uncommon in California during fire season. Thankfully it's usually brief. I have found my laptop battery to be sufficient to manage the brief gap. Cell towers have generator backup, so wifi/cellular coverage is uninterrupted. I am heartbroken that this sit ended this way. Heartbroken because it sucked for everyone involved but could have so easily been avoided by simple communication from Claudia. I have had friends and neighbors petsit with no problems. I have Airbnb'd my house with a 4.97* cumulative rating. If only Claudia had simply reached out, I would have accommodated her in just about any way possible. Instead, she stayed silent, then would not even acknowledge the remedies I suggested and abandoned my pets, instead.

I have been so fortunate to have tremendous guests care for my home & my Sam. Karen & Mark fall into the category of "You are the lucky one if they chose you." They communicated before and during and after. Had great questions. The house was spotless, Sam was clearly not stressed. I am thankful that Karen & Mark chose to get away to the lake & gave us a stress free trip. You should feel confident to have them as guests in your home.

Brandy was a great sitter. I'd have her back anytime.

Siena's mother stayed here with Siena and she provided all of the communications with us sending periodic notes and pictures. The house was neat and clean when we returned and the dog was healthy and happy. they left before we got home so we did not talk with them on our return.

We enjoyed meeting Carrie's family the day before we left and could see the love they gave to our babies. We returned home to happy and healthy pups, and the house was also clean and cared for. They shared photos of the snuggles being shared, esp. By their youngest, Malina who I believe especially lived our pup, Izzy So grateful for them being here so we could go and work out of town without worrying that everything would be okay.

I decided to choose Susan, based upon her application response and just a gut instinct. She did not have any reviews, of which I advised her to have her cat lady friend and others write one for her. Anyways, my husband and I were very happy that we gave her a chance. She is a wonderful and very sweet young lady. She always had practice taking care of a hospice cat, but this was her first time administering shots to our diabetic cat, Boots. He did not complain. ❤️ She arrived on time and immediately bonded with both of our kitties, even our shy little girl. Susan also sent us updates on how the shots went and photos of the kitties. I highly recommend giving Susan a chance, and we would definitely invite her back!

If I could give Doug 10 stars, I would. He was absolutely wonderful with our dogs. He showed up the day before we left to meet the dogs (and us), kept us updated daily with great pictures, was so professional and responsible, and left the house in perfect shape. On top of all of that, he is an all around nice person as well. We have already asked him to come back for our next trip! We can’t recommend him enough.
