A comfortable home with easy access to loads of Bellingham attractions. Jennifer was easy to communicate with before and during our sit. She wanted to be sure that we had all the necessary information on her fur-babies and a short synopsis on each of their personalities - knew what to expect. We would definitely would recommend this sit.
This sit was an absolute gift! While Cindy and Marc may be new to TH, they are truly a shining example of southern hospitality at its finest. We wish there was a way to give them 10 stars. From the moment we arrived, Cindy and Marc made us feel so welcomed and appreciated, like we were family. They treated us to a lovely dinner at the Dataw Island clubhouse which gave us an opportunity to get to know them better and meet all their neighbors. They took us on a tour of the neighborhood and pointed out all the amenities available to us including two golf courses, a driving range, heated pools, a fitness gym, and lots of walking trails. Their home is gorgeous with a screened-in lanai that overlooks the golf course. Cindy's well stocked kitchen had everything we needed to cook a gourmet meal and she even has an Expresso machine! Communication with Cindy before and during our stay was outstanding. She contacted me about a week before to ask if there were any groceries she could get for our stay. Marc made tee times in advance for my husband. They both insisted we sleep in the master bedroom instead of the guest room. And they gave us the keys to their golf cart so we could explore the Dataw Island community. Honestly, we've been housesitting for over 20 years and never encountered such kindness. Now I saved the best for last. Ginger is an absolute sweetheart, so smart and full of personality! She is a fun-loving, adorable young pup who loves to give lots of wet kisses. She is only eight months old, yet surprisingly good at letting us know when she had "to go" outside. Ginger loves going for walks and was so good whenever we crossed paths with other dogs or squirrels. She enjoys playing fetch and has lots of squeaky toys to keep her entertained on rainy days. But what she loves most is hiding her toy doggie bone behind the sofa cushions. Cindy had mentioned Ginger loved walking along the beach, so we took her to the Hunting Island State Park. She had a blast! Most afternoons, Ginger would cuddle up on the sofa and take a long nap with my husband. She definitely kept us entertained with her playful antics and was an absolute pleasure to care for. We found Dataw Island to be a vacation paradise. Rich in history and charm. And as you pass thru the front gate, the lush landscaping and marsh views are breathtaking. For more info, here's a link to their website, https://www.dataw.com/. When Marc and Cindy returned home they came bearing gifts - a huge bag of delicious Jennings Citrus oranges for us from Orlando along with several keepsakes from the Disney store. Thank you Cindy and Marc for being such gracious hosts and for welcoming us into your beautiful home. We love Ginger and would absolutely come back anytime, in a heartbeat :) To anyone considering applying, we highly recommend this sit!
This has to be in our top pet sitting adventures. Juno the dog is one of the sweetest creatures we have ever had the honor of caring for. She is very shy and sometimes scared, but when sitting watching TV she is loving and relaxed. Rusty the cat is in a class of his own. He is a giant bundle of love and fun. He loves to come up and drink from the spigot when you are washing dishes, and pushes his head into you to get more attention... The location is wonderful and there are so many amazing restaurants within walking distance. We had Mexican, Thai and Ethiopian food within blocks that were among the best we've ever had and the train line is just a couple of blocks away!!! Justine and Ollie were extremely warm and welcoming, and we would sit for them again in a heartbeat. The Apartment is very large and beautiful, although it is a third floor walkup, we got plenty of exercise and feel much healthier after we left than we did when we started the sit. :) I wish we could give more than 5 stars because everything about this pet sit was wonderful!!!
