A big thank you to Emma and Mike, we really enjoyed staying at there lovely home, our bedrooms were beautifully laid out and I’m pretty sure I had some of the best nights sleep in a long time. Set in a quiet road you are a 25 min walk from Ascot which has a couple of lovely eateries and only a few mins round the corner is a pub with great food and lots of outside seating, their own garden has great seating as is. If your a big kid then Thorpe Park is a 20 min drive away! It was very clear Emma and Mike had really thought about what people staying might need to know and our comfort around the house. Frankie is the very chilled star of the show and a great sofa companion, would happily sit for him again
Had the most wonderful week in Hoff, taking care of Sandra and Frank's delightful cats and chickens in their beautiful house. The house is an idyllic, quintessential English farm house, around an hour from the main lakes in the Lake District, near some lovely little towns. Sandra and Frank were super chilled. We'd love to return again (please!) Highly recommended petsit!
Sitting at Amelia's place was a gem of an opportunity as she has a centrally located, lovely home that you can tell has been curated with lots of love from her many travels. The light and plant-filled apartment has also been optimized so that taking care of Chandler and Phoebe could easily be whittled down to a seamless daily routine, so you could focus more of your time and energy into cuddles and lots of play. Chandler, the more robust of the two, was incredibly friendly, even bordering on adorably clingy dare I say and will always be the best lap cat to keep you warm while working or watching TV. Phoebe, is a bit more reserved, but definitely smart and insanely cute in her own right. Her little one eyed-stares say so much and my heart could barely say no to her chirps. I very much look forward to spending time with them again in the future!
What a totally wonderful experience sitting for Simba and Coco! The kitties: They are a fun pair! Simba is super friendly and interactive, always wants food, and will hang out around you and your computer if you have one. Coco is such a sweet girl and a pure joy. I was amazed that they did not play with my computer cords and left my bags alone — even a food bag I left in the kitchen. I’ve never met such polite cats! Hosts Stephanie and Jan were super helpful and responsive and their apartment is clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Cobble Hill is an awesome neighborhood, with Trader Joe’s down the block and access to subways that will get you anywhere in the city. Parking can be a little challenging but I ended up finding a spot right in front of the building. If you have a chance to do this sit, grab it. If I could give 10 stars I would!
Merlin will steal your heart. So much affection in that cat! Well, when he isn’t busy hiding. It’s a joy caring for him. He’s no trouble at all and loves being near humans, so if cuddling is your thing, you have a partner in him (well, once he warms up to you, that is). Francesca lines you up for success with him… walking you through his routine (which is really a very simple one) and leaving you with what you need for during the sit. Her home is cozy and comfortable and is located in a lovely and accessible part of town. Highly recommend this sit and would sit again without hesitation if available.
