Lizzie and Matt are so welcoming and made me feel at home straight away. The house is amazing and Zorro and Marvel are so much fun. They are very good at keeping you to their meals routine with some very interesting doggie chatter if you are running late😄 I’m so lucky to have had the privilege of taking care of both their beautiful home and fur babies for my first housesit.
What a sweet dog is Molly. We looked after her from Monday to Friday and she is quite adorable, well behaved and a super companion. Rebecca and family are very relaxed and made us very welcome, they left clear instructions and were in contact if needed. There are lovely walks across open countryside 2 minutes walk from the house. Watlington is delightful with an hourly bus to and from Oxford. Thank you for very much for everything.
Outstanding, that’s the best word to describe our stay with Bluey and Suki in the picturesque town of Avallon! Brendan and Thomas are friendly and considerate hosts, who clearly want sitters to feel welcome in their stylish home. Brendan kindly invited us to spend the night prior to their departure and even gave us a tour of the medieval town. He showed us where to find the best baguette, the location of the bi-weekly market, and introduced us to their lovely neighbors. Thomas prepared a delicious dinner, which we greatly appreciated after days on the road. Suki and Bluey are two of the most affectionate cats you will ever meet. This was our first experience caring for Burmese cats and these handsome brothers completely captured our hearts. Brendan’s listing on THS includes “obligatory cuddles” as one of the responsibilities. It was a very easy one to fulfill because we LOVED snuggling Bluey and Suki. They’re both silky soft and endearing creatures. Bluey’s a chatty cat whose antics during our play sessions were entertaining to watch. Suki is more of a silent shadow. He followed us around and occasionally surprised us by popping his head out of our duffle bag, where he liked to nap. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to live in a village in Burgundy, staying in Brendan and Thomas’s light-filled home is the perfect introduction. There’s a very good bakery just across the cobblestone street and the bi-weekly market offers an abundance of tasty local products. The restaurant terraces are full of animated diners and there’s a surprising amount of live music on the weekend. We felt fortunate to spend nine wonderful days in Avallon and can easily understand why Brendan and Thomas settled there. The privately owned Costume Museum is a quirky and interesting place, especially if you like antiques, elegant French fashions, and history. Like everything else in Avallon, it’s an easy walk from Brendan and Thomas’s home. Stéphane and I wholeheartedly recommend this sit and would gladly return. Thank you, Brendan and Thomas, for inviting us to care for Bluey, Suki, and your gorgeous home! We truly appreciated your warm hospitality and hope to see you again, perhaps in Switzerland? Thanks again for introducing us to your lovely neighbors. Bumping into Michelle and John during our evening walks and trips to the bakery quickly made us feel like locals.
Raminta and Sami were wonderful from the call we made to get to know each other. They are kind, cheerful and very welcoming. They explained everything to us about the house and Vivi and left everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Taking care of Vivi was a wonderful experience. Vivi loves going to the fountain for a cold drink and is very calm. We will miss you. Raminta, Sami and Vivi thank you very much.
We had a wonderful time at Toby’s! The apartment is comfortable and full of beautiful light. Hexes and Hobbes might need a little time to warm up to you but once they do, they’re both so much fun. Toby was great at communicating with us, leaving precise instructions and was available whenever we had a question. The lovely Bed-Stuy neighborhood also has so much to offer! Overall a wonderful sit! Thank you Toby for hosting us!
We had a lovely stay at Matt and Lulu’s home! Indy and Thor are both gorgeous dogs who have so much love to give! Matt and Lulu were super welcoming and we felt really comfortable ☺️
