Unfortunately I received a very harsh review after staying at Jonathan's. I would hate to return the favor and give one star because it definitely was not that soul crushing at the end of the day. He was still accommodating throughout my stay and the place was super hip. The art out in the backyard however, was a bit disconcerting and actually was the first trigger i experienced. I struggle with mental health issues and this happened to be a sit where challenges seemed to be at their peak. Being a victim of psychosis/delusions brought on by PTSD, if its not properly treated I may struggle with things others find effortless. For example when I witnessed the garage door opening or closing by itself without first being informed it was a "smart home" I freaked out and instantly felt a bit insecure on the property from then on. Because of my challenges at that time I didn't walk the dogs as much as I wanted to and I'll admit that. My overall feedback consists of the patience and understanding i DID NOT receive from him after reading his feedback. To an average person perhaps I could understand how seemingly i'd be judged as a dramatic lunatic by taking a few pictures off a wall in the bedroom i was staying in or worrying the CO2 meters weren't functioning properly - I get that! However, to one struggling with mental health at the time, it is completely innocent and justifiable. And to go a length further with the knowledge of his dishonest review and scar it's made so far on my profile... When I arrived that night (already feeling iffy showing up at a gentleman's house at night I've never met) after making us an espresso with music playing he made a move that made me feel uncomfortable. Basically touched my shoulder as though he was trying to be flirtatious. I jumped a bit, and after we sat down and me shrugging it off to continue conversation I was ready to leave the room and go into my room. He seemed a little disappointed but in no way did i think this was professional and I would never wish this upon anybody when women already have the challenge on the daily to protect themselves in a male dominated society. I truly was holding back on writing this or even considered leaving this last part out, but at this point, I realize I've done a great job denying what injustice i've encountered and it all came to light when the feedback on me was posted. I always am one for forgiveness and giving people chances and the benefit of the doubt - but in times of COVID where silence is the new norm i figured speaking out is the better way by writing my own review back. In no way did I feel this experience was unsafe overall nor am i "warning" anyone to steer away from Jonathan. Simply put, if one is going to attempt to ruin this wonderful opportunity for me when its based on many falsehoods I will share my side of the story.
Magic Christmas with this lovely sweet doodle girl - Meg Sarah and her family welcomed us on Christmas Day, had gifts for us, introduced Meg and this beautiful house. A very nice peaceful area, two parks nearby. Meg is spoiled but surprisingly - very educated. She followed us everywhere, guided us tru the neighbourhood and shared with us tv time, play, and cozy bed during the night. Happy to have such nice memories for this Christmas. Thank you Sarah, thank you! 😇
Communication with Marie- Louise was easy and uncomplicated from the very beginning. Her and Niklas' big beautiful flat is in a great area with plenty of Restaurants, the Gesundbrunnen shopping center and lots to do. It just might be a little tricky indeed to find a parking space. Marie- Louise prepared our stay perfectly - we even had an extra big space to hang our clothes and an own shelf in the fridge which we highly appreciate. The handover was totally uncomplicated. The cats are very laid- back and such good boys - so friendly and curious. Loki joined us quickly on the Sofa and in the bed purring and cuddling and woke us even up in the mornings with kisses and gentle bites 😀 We were so happy to be able to spend the weekend relaxing with them and we enjoyed the time with them so much - but it flew by way too quickly... We would be more than happy to return!
Anna was very organised, and everything relating to Jasper's needs was clearly explained. Although he is an older cat, he's still fairly lively when playing with his toys, and after a few days, we became best buddies, and he was like a purring machine, and very easy to care for. Anna's home has a beautiful garden, and is in a very convenient location, with a regular bus service, and in a lovely part of Cornwall. Highly recommended!
Hilda is absolutely adorable and such a joy to look after! She starts by being a bit shy, but warms up very quickly. She’s independent and dos her own thing but is also great company. Claire was a great host and very easy to communicate with, and her house is very comfortable, with easy access to central London and close to some great local independent restaurants. I’d love to look after Hilda again! Highly recommended sit!
Charlotte’s is the most romantic and charming house in her friendly little village, nestled amongst roses and inhabited by two lovable four-legged ladies, Noushi the cat and Chacha the dog. Charlotte went above and beyond with helping us with travel logistics, introducing us to her local community and making us feel welcome in her dreamy world.
