Michael and Jeanne have been the best pet sitters we could have asked for! Our first experience of having house sitters and its been a joy from first contact to us returning yesterday. Clear initial contact with informative profile and references. Our zoom call was fantastic and I immediately felt they were the right fit for my pusscats. They asked all the right questions and were clearly animal lovers. They were open and happy and I had no second thoughts at all. We then met when they came to Bath before the sit started, and in person they were all and more, than our first zoom. Boris immediately warmed to Michael particularly and the girls were inquisitive and soon were nuzzling and saying hello to both. Again, clear sensible questions which showed me they were obviously experienced at house sitting and were aware of what was important to know about. They also asked thoughtful questions about likes and dislikes of the cats, and how I liked the house to be looked after. Communication whilst we were away was just right, and what I had said we would like, and the photos of the gang were just beautiful and showed they had absolutely bonded with them and loved them! They thoughfully corresponded about helped out when one of the kittens had an upset tum due to the transition of kitten to adult food I had just started. They ingeniously came up with "Felix Lasagna" which I am going to be using from now on...(a mix of the pouches squeezed out in layers in a plastic box in the fridge ready to go... <---- the best time saver ever!!). When we returned, slightly travel weary and a bit exhausted after 2 weeks solid with my lovely boys, there was a beautiful card and treats in the fridge for the boys, and homecooked food enough for lunch and supper with no need for me to shop or cook on our first day back!! The house was spotless (arguably more spotless than it was left in the rush to go on holiday...), linen washed, bed changed and remade, it was a complete joy to return to. Most importantly Boris, Layla and Sky were calm and happy, glossy and well-fed, they had clearly had the best time ever. Michael and Jeanne are the best house/pet sitters you could ask for, don't hestitate, they are amazing!!
Craig was a great host and the whole family were very welcoming and accommodating. Amira was a joy to look after and super cute & friendly! The house was as described and the location was great for us. We had a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend!
Artie was easy to care for. I was given fair warning that he likes to wake people up with some very early morning music, but not when I was there. He only miaowed at me a couple of brief times over the whole weekend. Mostly he kept himself to himself, sleeping in a nest of clothes, or outside on his adventures. I hope if I was there for longer, he'd warm up to me. He was absolutely no trouble at all. I spent more time watering the plants than doing anything cat related! (Not that there was a huge amount of plant work - just that the cat care was so quick.) Laurie and Jim were welcoming both before my stay and on arrival, flexible with my departure date, and generous with their food and home comforts. The location is as advertised: walk out of the house and in five minutes you're in a field on a Cotswold hill.
I had a lovely time with Penny the puppy. Such a sweet natured girl, who listened, played nicely, slept well and was loved by all in the park. I will miss her a lot. The daily routine was set, simple and everything was provided. Allan and Denise are lovely, funny and generous people who were in daily contact incase I needed anything. The neighbours round the green were so friendly and open to support if needed. Their home was warm, cosy, easy to keep clean, quiet and relaxed with coastal vibe. Views of the countryside were a bonus. Would definitely recommend and return. Till the next time…
I highly recommend a sit with Bella. Marlaine and Brian have a nice home in Boca Raton, Florida. I enjoyed my walks with Bella in this safe and manicured neighborhood. Marlaine had a two page typed documents with all the information you will need for your stay with regards to her home, contacts, feeding and what you will need to make your stay comfortable. My guest room bed was very comfortable. They have a nice large screen TV with Xfinity, Netflix and other channels so cozy up on the couch with Bella next to you and you'll have a great time. The best part of this short stay sit for me was Bella. She is a very tall big girl and what a beauty. She loves being groomed and sat nicely for me as I brushed her (well maybe not so much with her tail, but not too many dogs like that). Marlaine warned me she gets excited if she sees another dog while out on walks, so hang on. She just wants to run and play with them but she can be strong so I recommend using her harness for walking. But Marlaine will go over all of this with you if you sit. She is very friendly and nice. Restaurants, supermarkets and beaches are a short car ride away.
Lidl is the sweetest kitten I have ever met, it was very easy to take care of her, she loves to play and cuddle in the morning. Myriah and her family made me feel very welcome, the apartment is very well located and has everything you need so you can have a good stay. I would happily take care of Lidl again.
Just returned from a lovely two week house sit for Juliet and Jamie. The house and grounds are wonderful and Lily and Poppy were adorable. There are great walks right from the house on the Gloucestershire Way and other footpaths. We took Lily and Poppy with us to several pubs and they were very well behaved attracting numerous "oh aren't they cute" comments. Communication with Juliet and Jamie was very good with quick replies to any questions. We highly recommend this sit to anyone interested.
