We had such a lovely time looking after Olivia’s beautiful cats, Nina and Pan, and we couldn’t have asked for a better first THS experience! Olivia was friendly, thorough, and communicative before and during the petsit. She sent us a detailed guide, which covered everything we needed to know, and she was able to show us around the flat/introduce us to her cute cats the day before the sit, as well. Olivia is an adoring pet parent, and we had a good understanding of Nina’s and Pan’s little quirks before the sit. Nina and Pan are total sweethearts. They’re quite timid at first, but with a little bit of time and trust building (facilitated by treats and playtime), come out of their shells and show their affection in cuddles. We already miss them! The area is well connected to the overground and isn’t far from the beautiful Victoria park, which is a nice place to walk/run. We would definitely recommend this sit and will be ever fond of little Nina and Pan!
Celie and Michael were most welcoming and very generous with provisions left. The use of the impressive nearby Prested Hall was a welcome added bonus. They have a lovely home in scenic location, overlooking the river; plenty of wildlife to watch. Peach and Millie were also a delight to look after - very friendly and easy going. It was a pleasure taking them out on some very enjoyable walks. A highly recommended sit. Thank you so much Celie for asking me. I had a lovely weekend.
I have just completed a magical two month sit, at Jakk's beautiful home, looking after Luna & Dakota. This is my first experience of Vizsla dogs, and I hope I have a reunion before too long, as I am already missing both of them so much! They have to be the most loving dogs you could meet (and after several years on trusted house sitters, I have met a lot of pups) The house is magnificent. A short walk to Balmoral beach, and all mod cons including a giant TV. Great if you love your films. High speed internet was wonderful whilst I worked from the living room. Dakota and Luna must be the only dogs with their own tennis court! So we enjoyed lots of fun games during the day. And they will take you on many local walks. If you are a photographer, you will appreciate the views in and around Mosman. I instantly liked Jakk on our first meeting. She is so friendly and was always in contact should there be any questions regarding the house or pups. Luna & Dakota showed how much they adore her, when she arrived from her long trip overseas. Thank you Jakk, and pups. I look forward to a reunion very much. Five Stars (would give 6 if I could)
Thank you Melissa and Johann for the welcoming stay, in beautiful Amersfoort. We were so lucky to be able to stay here and take care of Rosie and Archie! Amersfoort has a lot of local parks and cycling paths for exploring, with a supermarket close by and a shopping center about 10 minutes by bike. The house is very close to the bus and about 30 minutes to the train station/Amserfoort city and an 1h30 to Amsterdam. the house is lovely, comfortable, has a backyard area for the dogs to play ball and go outside if they need to, and has a lovely kitchen area for cooking at home. The place was so clean and welcoming when we arrived and Melissa was very kind with making sure we were comfortable. Rosie and Archie are full of personality. Rosie is a wee sweetie who loves to sleep on the foot of the bed and playing with her soft toys, while Archie is very gentle, obsessed with his orange ball and likes his tummy rubbed! They are so full of love and want to keep you company (especially when they see you with the dental sticks!). They need a bit of consideration when taking for a walk, like being aware and redirecting the dogs before they see another dog nearby. I would recommend to sitters who are comfortable with rescues for this reason. Melissa was very easy to communicate with and the house was warm and well-equipped with a spare desk for doing work, Netflix, laundry, and a bath which is always nice :) We were so delighted to spend the month hanging out with Rosie and Archie and hope we can come back soon. Thank you again Melissa and Johann for trusting your place and Rosie and Archie with us.
Ralph is the best little buddy! I had a great time with him exploring the city. Radha herself is also very cool and welcoming. We had a great meet and greet and she made sure I had everything I needed for a successful sit. She’s also very accessible. Her building is phenomenally located in a great spot of Lower Manhattan so close to many sites, restaurants, store, subways stations—everything! It was so nice to take Ralph right over to the Battery Park dog park in the morning and evenings to sniff around and play a bit with other pups, although he’s more of a loner. In between, he’s fine to chill with you if you’re working (with a bit of fetch with his favorite toy) or down to explore! We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge, rode the subway, and went to Katz’s deli (yes, he got a bit of pastrami) just to name a few adventures. He will also let you know when it’s bedtime and very quickly cuddle up and take the best part of the bed! I definitely recommend this opportunity!
