Sarah was a wonderful house and pet sitter! She arrived promptly so we could go over the pet care in person and was really great at communicating all weekend. She kept me updated on how the pets were doing and was always quick to respond if I sent a text. Additionally, I had some travel plans go a bit awry and she was totally flexible and accommodating, which I appreciated very much. When I got back, she had washed the sheets and towels and made the place all tidy and neat for my return. I totally recommend having Sarah as your house/pet sitter.
How wonderful it was to have Louise and Jay mind our ‘house of felines’, Dame Miffy and our two ‘terribly timid’ twin girl cats Caramel and Violet and Squeak, our big boy!! Louise and Jay were fortunately able to come for a pre visit a week and a half before their sit. At this visit we familiarised ourselves with each other, the local environment, and we informed Louise and Jay about out nervous cats, their idiosyncrasies, feed times and amounts, and showed them around the house. It was a great visit but unfortunately the cats were all in hiding under lounges, on beds etc, being so frightened that someone different was in the house. I was worried the the twins would be quite scared of new ‘strangers’ being in the house. Louise assured me that she was a bit of a ‘cat whisperer’ and would have the ability to make friends with our timid cats and make them more relaxed. The thought of this made me feel so much more confident when we left the house for our Hawaiian holiday…. We went away happy to leave our crew in the capable hands of our zeewoi. They were fantastic, sending us many updates as to how the pussycats were settling in with their new ‘sitters’ and quite a number of pictures as well. It was a relief to know that within a couple of days Violet and Caramel had come out of hiding and resumed their normal life thanks to our two ‘cat whisperers’ Louise AND Jay. When we returned home our house was so clean and tidy…. It was such a pleasure to come inside. Miffy, Violet, Caramel and Squeak were really happy to see us but they had all changed. They seemed to be more calm and relaxed in the house, and I can only give credit to Louise and Jay for this for spreading their ‘Magic’. I would recommend Louise and Jay in an instant.
We had a fantastic time in Melissa's lovely home with her cat, Edward Scissorhands. Honestly, it was the perfect sit. Melissa's home is comfortable, conveniently located, and stocked with everything you need and more. She even has a lemon and lime tree inside which were wonderful (and be warned, that occasional "thud" you hear is usually a lime or lemon falling off the tree!) Edward is so independent, and really enjoys being outdoors most of the time (even when it rains!). We were happy he made friends with us and enjoyed an occasional petting in between his outdoor adventures. Melissa's welcome guide was fantastic, and we really felt at home with all the preparations she made to ensure our sit went smooth. Communication was terrific before and during the sit. Nothing but wonderful things to say. Highly recommend this sit!!
