Sheila was a wonderful house and dog sitter for our two dogs! She was extremely communicative and reliable. She left the place clean & tidy, and the dogs were so happy to spend time with her! We would highly recommend Sheila and she is welcome back to housesit for us anytime!
We had a wonderful stay at Erin and Cameron's place with Harvi and Flint! Flint was a total sweetheart and such a good dog! Harvi enjoyed her kitty treats and was very happy to just observe us from afar, with the occasional drive-by leg rub and requests for more treats!😊 Erin and Cameron were so welcoming and made us feel right at home, we had everything we needed!
Loved my time with Peanut (Butter) and Jerry. Before Erin left, she very kindly explained and showed me the nightly routine of how to wrap and give Peanut his medication and how to clean Jerry’s chin and its surrounds. Whilst they didn’t like this routine, and would try to escape it, both cats were very gentle and did not scratch. Peanut would forgive more easily than Jerry but in a relatively short time they were wanting to be close again. Peanut and Jerry love to lie on you and be stroked and Jerry loves to roll on his back and have his belly rubbed. Their parents left Christmas gifts in their stocking with Peanut jumping up and trying to access them regularly before Christmas day. They loved their presents especially the two furry balls which had bells inside. As long as I fished the balls out from under the furniture, Peanut continued to play with these balls every day whilst Jerry not so much. Peanut would just hit the balls and chase where Jerry was more skilled. Jerry would lay on the floor and play with a ball passing it deftly between all four paws. Almost every day gave updates and sent photos and videos of Peanut and Jerry. Great location easily accessible by very cheap public transport and very walkable. Without a car and by using the train, on the suggestion of Tim and Erin, was able to do a day trip to Ljubljana in Slovenia and was easily back before the 6pm feed time. Some incredible stunning buildings in Zagreb but some places were shut due to restoration work needed because of the 2020 earthquake.
Bonnie & Jay are excellent hosts and great with communications! Their home is beautiful, organized, and so welcoming. Sylvie is just the sweetest dog! She is so well-behaved and extremely smart. She really enjoyed her walks and loved playing with her squeaky toy. She also loved cuddling up to be pet. She made this sit so easy and so fun! I would be thrilled if I ever get the chance to watch her again!
Even though this was my first sit, I could‘nt have started happier! Yvonne was a very kind host. She showed me a hearty welcome in her lovely quiet place, and she even accepted that I brought my own German White Shepherd (with a lot of white hairs flying around still, sorry Yvonne!). Although it is an old East German holiday home, it offers every comfort you could wish for. I had a hot meal cooked by Yvonne at the evening of arrival and was given absolutely clear instructions on her home and especially how to care for the most loveable dog Otto and for the beautiful fishes (a nice pond full with Kois). Otto is such a dear and very easy to handle. He quickly made friends with my dog Thea and loves to cuddle. Otto walks very well on a leash, but can be let loose in the forest or on the meadows at any time. It‘s a beautiful place for hiking and I walked the dogs into the nearby forests (and sometimes lakes, Otto likes swimming) three times a day. I can highly recommend dog and house sitting with Yvonne and I would like very much to come back at any time to care for Otto (and the fishes).
Wow, gorgeous dogs, beautiful home and a haven for wildlife. I was in my element. The previous reviews sold it to me and they were spot on. When I first met Honey and Toast they treated me like a long lost friend. They are sweet natured dogs and were great companions and certainly kept me amused! I was so sad to leave them. There are so many walks from the house and the dogs knew them all. Tory is very generous, welcoming and made sure I was ok and had everything I needed. I really felt at home there. The bed is super comfortable! Thanks again Tory for this amazing experience.
Pat and Bobby were very welcoming. Communication was easy and they made sure I had everything I needed. They have a beautiful and comfortable home in a nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Bananas is a very sweet cat and easy to care for. She brings you to what she wants and loves evening/morning snuggles. I enjoyed this sit very much and hope to come back one day!
