Maria’s travel plans changed last minute so she didn’t need a sitter BUT I still have feedback because she was kind enough to put me up in her guesthouse while I made a new plan. I am so grateful for the chance to experience her kindness. She was warm, welcoming, and encouraged me to explore Taos. I also coincidentally got to meet the cats (I forgot about them so it was hilarious opening the door to an army of them when I was heading out one day) and they are super chill.
Rebecca and Jay have a lovely country property near Landrum and Tryon NC. The home is beautiful and the peace and quiet and many birds and other wildlife offer an experience that city dwellers never experience. Each of the horses, dogs and cats has a personality of their own and they are all friendly and accepting of strangers and made me feel welcome. The feed and care instructions were clear and well described, and the schedule takes about 30 minutes each morning and evening, with daily care of the barn stalls taking an additional 30 minutes once per day. Though the horses are gentle I feel that some previous experience with horses and barn operations is necessary. Rebecca and Jay let me feel right at home and are a delightful couple. A wonderful experience!
It was a great house sitting! Beautiful view and great location for the December time of year. The dog Geffrey was an absolute sweetheart that has been a pleasure to take care of.
My experience at Max's place was really nice. She left me a document with all the information needed during the house sit. The communication with her was also very easy. The location is very quiet and cozy. Sprite and Tam, are beautiful cats, one of them is more friendly and the other one more independent. You just need to watch out when cooking/eating because they'll love to have a taste. Overall, a really good experience either with the house and cats. Was lovely to have cats as pets again!
Marty and Charlie are the best! We had a great time playing with them and walking them around this beautiful coastal neighborhood. The location is top notch and so is the company. The two were so friendly and easy going. Hope to visit these two again!
