This was a perfect sit for me - home from home. We had an awkward start as my previous client returned with Covid so I had to warn Nick and Hattie but they were very professional about it and we did the handover information (which was also given in detailed note form) outside and masked up. Fortunately my accommodation was separate from the house. So I didn't really get to know my hosts but they were as welcoming and friendly as was possible given the circumstances and I was very well informed.
Although the country roads were quite busy there was a lovely nature reserve within easy reach of the farm which made our walks a joy. And we had the option of walking in the fields adjoining the house.
There is a restaurant on the other side of the road although I didn't try it. And I didn't explore the village.
I am really looking forward to returning later in the year.

We had a very nice time in Leyton looking after Monster and Arturo. They were both very well behaved and have lovely personalities. They are five minutes walking from the nearest train station, it’s a 30/40 minute train ride into central London. Leyton is a super cute town with great food, parks, and plenty to do if you’d rather stay close to home. Jeremy and Rachel were very communicative with us, hospitable and kind! Thanks Jeremy and Rachel for trusting us with Monster and Arturo, happy holidays!!

We just completed a two week house sit for Sara and her lovely dogs, Oakley and Wilson. We had the most wonderful time looking after Sara’s superb home and her gorgeous boys. Sara, her husband and their three lovely sons are all so incredibly warm, generous and kind - just a really great family. We were made to feel so so welcome. Sara’s home is a large, luxurious, modern home in a lovely countryside setting. We felt really privileged to be there taking care of things. Oakley and Wilson are just the bees the knees - we really bonded with them both and had an absolute hoot!

Sara is really organised and gave us so much information how to take the best care of their dogs and left great, detailed recommendations for fantastic local pubs and walks! Everything ran really smoothly and we miss the dogs already!

Thanks Sara and family

Best wishes, Tom & Mahendra

Lovely house sit in a great part of London. Greg is a cutie, filled with energy and will talk to you all day! Loves his food and will come and hang out if you have a blanket out :)

Unfortunately, I can not recommend this sit. The pets are wonderful but the people are very inconsiderate and difficult, despite the fact that they are warm at first. Communication is essential for a successful sit, and it's of paramount importance when it comes to an animal's safety. Despite having spent hours with me on 2 occasions, the owner omitted or concealed the fact that their dog was having a serious behavioral issue that put his life at risk. We took several demonstration walks where he was left to roam the property and surrounding area freely. I was shown how to call him back when he disappeared from sight but was never told that he was running towards a highway. Then, I was blamed when he was found in traffic. Of course I never let him off leash outside again but he was able to push a faulty screen door open - something else I should have been advised of, and got out again. Also, the home was very messy, smelled heavily of animal odors, and many items were in a state of disrepair and dysfunction. When I made coffee the first morning, I turned on the back burners by mistake. The burners had items that looked stove safe but were not. The owners had been using the back burners as a shelf for an electric kettle and milk frother. Both were damaged. I ordered a new kettle immediately but the frother was very old and I wasn't sure what to get so asked them when they returned. I explained what had happened. There was no acknowledgement that I was trying my best, etc., only hostility about the brother. Then I got a text demand for $135 for a top of the line brother - the damaged item was very basic and reached out to trustedhousesitters for guidance since this didn't seem appropriate. They advised me that it was the home owners' responsibility to ensure that their property was left in a safe place and that I shouldn't have to replace items that had carelessly left in danger. I did offer $50 to replace the frother but that wasn't acceptable to the owner. I tried to have an amicable phone conversation to resolve the situation but was met with hostility and accusations about other items, such as a warped wooden door and decrepit blinds which I was suddenly responsible for replacing. THS had suggested that I inform them of the accident insurance protection which they offer but he had looked into it and said he didn't want to do that. Then, when I genuinely wished him best of luck with getting coverage for the items he was concerned about, he sarcasticly said "Good luck to you - you'll never get another sit again!" And, in the spirit of retaliation, they left me the worst review imaginable.

Summit and Maxine were the friendliest pair! I had a wonderful week exploring Rockridge and beyond on our walks. And it was a dream to come home to such a warm and inviting space. The backyard was especially magical during our early Fall heatwave in the Bay. Wish I had more stars to give than 5!
