Thank you Kate & Brad I had the most wonderful time in your beautiful home in Poulsbo. Dart was a delight to take care of, such a sweet heart who's character shined through despite his lack of sight and hearing. I loved his expression and reaction when seeking comfort that someone was there and his nose connected with a hand, I swear he was smiling, melted my heart! I loved the story of your family adventure cycling across the country, what a feat with a 6 year old! I'm so glad I could facilitate your visit to your daughter, she has a wonderful smile and studying for a very noble role in life, I wish her the very best and I hope you can all be together again soon. My best, Lindsey PS - I loved Poulsbo, the Christmas lights added to it's wonderful fairytale feel and best of all I found British Christmas Puddings, mince pies and Branston Pickle in the local market store (Boxing Day turkey sandwiches with Branston is a national treat in England, so very happy!!)
My stay at Meghan’s house was great! Lucy and Lilu are adorable and easy to take care of and Meghan provides super clear instructions in her guide (along with local area recommendations). Her house is beautifully decorated and I felt right at home. Location wise - it’s a 10-15 minute drive to downtown. Public transport is available, with a few buses to downtown that take 30-45 minutes and bus connecting to the blue light rail (airport + Mall of America) about 15-20 minutes (check the stops and schedules ahead of time). Meghan was very appreciative of the daily picture check ins I provided. I recommend this visit!
Alice & Ranice are lovely ladies who made me feel at home as soon as I arrive. They have a great house with two very funny cats named Sophie and Remy. Besides a quirky morning feeding ritual, this is a great place to visit and explore if you've never been to the area. Alice was easy to communicate with, she gave me tons of local information on places to see and things to do, however, if you're like me you can play golf every other day. I highly recommend this listing, if you're lucky enough to get selected you will forever be grateful for the opportunity. Thanks,
Harry is quite simply one of the most splendid cats I've ever known – very affectionate, good-natured and fond of human interaction as well as independent, happy and confident in his own feline world. And utterly gorgeous, of course! I didn't actually meet Laura and Ewan, but they left comprehensive information about everything I needed to know (and more besides), and I was very comfortable in their lovely home. Roslin is a fabulous spot and easy to reach by bus from Edinburgh, where I live. I already knew the area a little, and greatly enjoyed exploring further. All in all an excellent experience.
My friend (Alla) and I had a wonderful time sitting for Sophia’s dog, Darcy. From the very beginning - Sophia was super communicative and answered all our questions before arriving. When we got to the house - everything was as expected and her home is truly lovely. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets on the balcony. Darcy is a very easy dog to care for - she’s a golden so she’s very loving and affectionate. We enjoyed all the cuddles and snuggles while watching movies. She’s a very low maintenance dog which allowed us to explore the area during the weekends. Overall, we had such a blast taking care of Darcy and appreciate Sophia’s hospitality and for trusting us with Darcy and her home. Would definitely recommend!
While we never got to meet Joe and Ali in person, Joe was very communicative before and during our stay at their beautiful home in New Orleans. Joe's parents watched Dennis and Darla for the week before we arrived. They gave us a great handoff with personal notes on driving in New Orleans in addition to other items. That was in addition to the great welcome guide that Joe and Ali prepared on THS....plus they left a printed copy. The guide included a number of local contacts if we needed help with anything. Dennis and Darla were some of the favorite pets we've had on a houseIt. Darla is the young one that enjoys as many walks as she can get. She has a keen eye for small animals like rabbits when we walk. She locks eyes on them but doesn't go after them. While she likes walks, she was perfectly content hanging out with us in the house while I was working in the office or when we watched TV in the living room. Dennis is described by Joe as like an old man...definitely an apt description. He keeps to himself and took a few days to get used to us. Joe assured us he would be fine and, like a light switch, he took to us and began joining Darla on most of the walks. Both Dennis and Darla are sweet and well behaved. The dogs have access to an enclosed backyard through a doggie door anytime they need to go out between walks. Joe and Ali's home is a beautiful renovated classic New Orleans home with high ceilings and a beautiful well equipped kitchen. The bed in the guest room was incredibly comfortable. So comfortable in fact that Lori made note of the mattress and pillow brands. Seems we will be buying new bedding soon for our home. The neighborhood has many other beautiful homes and some great little places to eat within a few blocks. We really liked the Pagoda Cafe and Leo's Breads. We wholeheartedly recommend this housesit!
