It was a joy to sit for Nicola and family, their house is beautiful, comfortable and set in the stunning and peaceful Hampshire countryside. Islay and Peddles were an absolute pleasure to look after, two wonderful labradors with great character and so well behaved. I looked forward to walks as much as them (there were plenty nearby the house) and they were excellent company while I worked from home- also enjoying a cuddle in the evening. It was sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the sit! Communication and guidelines were great and clear, and the family in general were very friendly, welcoming and accomodating - making me feel at home in their house. I was lucky with some sun during my stay and spending time in the beautiful garden wiith the dogs was a holiday in itself. I would look forward to the chance to spend time here with Islay and Pebbles again - thank you for a lovely housesit
Matilda was a dream to look after - super cuddly and curious - and Deborah was incredibly helpful both before and throughout the sit. The flat is very homely and in a good location with lots of transport links. 10/10, would recommend!
Our stay at Emer's house was wonderful. The animals are all adorable, and the place is very cozy overall. I hope to get the chance to housesit for her again!
Emilie and Brian were very welcoming. Everything was clear and they were quick in answering any messages I sent with questions. Walthamstow is a very fun area that I massively enjoyed discovering. The highlgihts of my stay were Sunny and Chewie :) They are a very fun duo. It was funny to sit in the garden in the sun and watch Sunny be very intent on trying to catch birds. She would also randomly walk up for affection during the day while Chewie was a big cuddler at night. Was a lovely sit :)
We had a lovely time sitting for Steve and Tina in beautiful Ottery St, Mary. The view from their house is absolutely stunning and we were so lucky to have some beautiful weather while we were there despite it still only being February. Ted and Coco are wonderful dogs, really friendly and obedient and so easy to look after. They both loved going for their walks but were just as happy chilling out in the garden watching the world go by. We are both looking forward to coming back to sit for them again next month!
This was my first TH sit, and it was fun. Zorro is an easy cat to take care of, and Mary and David provided thorough instructions and information about their home and the Portland area. Because I live in the region, I was their guest for two days about a month before the housesit. That gave me the opportunity to see Zorro’s daily routine and to participate in some of it. Despite that acquaintance, he took about a day to warm up to me. Like many cats, we had interactions on his terms. Zorro will keep an eye on you and let you scratch his head and back, but he’s not a lap cat. He sleeps through the night and isn’t talkative — unless it’s mealtime. Mary & David's lovely house is in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood that was beautiful (although a bit rainy) in the fall. Before arriving, you might want to make a priority list of things to see and do, as Portland and environs has a multitude of choices. Because I had mentioned enjoying bakeries, Mary & David left me a list of more than a dozen! Fortunately, I’ll be sitting for them again in about three months, so I’ll continue working through that list. The cat, the house and the city all get thumbs up! I can highly recommend this sit.
