Frenchie is so sweet, she is cuddly, happy, and well-trained. The dogwalker comes on weekdays, so I only walked Frenchie on weekends. Frenchie had an issue with a paw/ claw twice (for a day each) so I was really grateful that the dogwalker could have an additional eye on things. Communication with Alex (the owner) was excellent and lightning-fast and I felt very supported while Frenchie was feeling poorly. She took her pain medication quite easily (squirt it on her treats) and returned back to normal after a few hours so no immediate vet visit was needed while I was there. The family gave me a warm welcome when I arrived the evening before the sit started. The house and garden are well-kept and so comfortable and the general area is peaceful and quiet. This really was the best first housesit I could have imagined, thank you so much for having me, I loved it and would come back in a heartbeat.

Housesitting for Brooke was such a pleasure! Her home is in an incredible location close to several ski resorts, tucked away in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Brooke is easy to communicate with and a wonderful host. Picasso and Monet are the sweetest kitties I’ve ever met! I loved spending time with them and had a great time at this housesit.
A last minute sit over the Thanksgiving Holiday which was very enjoyable and easy considering the amount of animals. The system Elsa put in place makes everything VERY easy, no more than 45 min or so a day which gives you freedom to just enjoy building a fire inside and snuggling with the most LOVING dogs or venture out into Ashland and neighboring towns. I only saw the cats briefly when they'd come inside to eat before heading back out and the dogs were welcomed companions with me while I napped and read on the couch most days. Very easy to venture out as well as all animals are very independent and you never feel 'tied' to the house, only have your one hour of feeding schedule and that's it. I would absolutely sit for them again. Not only was their home an easy and enjoyable sit, but you truly feel its your home away from home. They are doing ongoing remodeling but it really doesn't affect the enjoyment of their home, nice furniture, comfortable linens, beautiful rugs, lovely views out of every PICTURE window. A gem, especially for me, who loves animals and wanted an experience on a 'mini farm' but also a place to rest over the Holiday and this was that for me!
Genevieve and Andrew are a very friendly and generous couple who welcomed us into their home with a delicious meal. It was a pleasure to spend the evening before the sit proper with them. It also allowed us to go out with Ollie on his walk. Ollie is a great dog, full of character, very intelligent and great to take out and to care for. He has a number of walks straight from the house through the beautiful Suusex countryside that can be shortened or lengthend to suit his needs. He is good off the lead and has a number of commands. In the house he has a ball game he likes to play but spent much of the time lying in the shade of the plants. Carlos the cat is very affectionate and easy to care for. He will remind you (often) that he needs feeding. Genevieve had written us some useful and comprehensive notes on everything. There is a community shop next door and a pub over a couple of fields. The beach is 20 mins away (it's not Ollie's thing but he can be left for short trips), lots of swimming spots and the beautiful South Downs Way to explore. The house has amazing character, very old with beams and an aga. The bedroom was very comfortable. Wifi is abundant and fast so working from home would be easy. The garden is beautiful - a small park with beautiful beds and a perfect area to dine outside. We would highly recommend this sit.
