My month-long stay at Robin & Joe's was lovely. Jazz is such a spunky little guy with lots of energy and love to give. He is very curious and enjoys being outside, but always comes back when called. Robin and Joe's home is very comfortable and in a great location. I would house-sit for them again anytime!
We had a great time playing with Goose and Sassy in the Utah snow! They love to cuddle with you and will want all the attention they can get. Easy care routine: the dogs will run around in the yard but love to go on walks with you. The dogs are the smartest we’ve ever met - they know how to open doors (including the exterior ones) so we kept our bedroom gated (whenever we left them alone, they managed to find something illicit to chew ranging from toilet paper to our computer mouse). Stacey and Scott were wonderful. They have such an inviting home in the mountains, steps away from a trail network and a 25 min drive from the ski resorts. They were great communicators and helped us get settled in and prepared for the snow (they have a snow blower which made clearing the driveway manageable when we got 50” of snow). We’re so grateful they let us borrow their car and even picked us up from the airport!
Rosie was lovely, easy to look after and affectionate. Due to the hot weather I took her for 2 long walks early 7.30am and late 6pm. During the day she lay on the cool floor while I read my book or did some work. There were plenty of walks around the village, which we tried several of. Also a pub in the village and another pub in the next village which Rosie was happy to sit under the table while I had a swift 1/2. Claire was lovely, easy to get hold of and I sent her pictures and updates on how Rosie was getting on. Claire’s house was well equipped, I spent most of the time in the garden and kitchen area. A lovely sit and would be happy to look after Rosie again.
We looked after Dave and Ruth’s gorgeous cottage and pups Mary and Frank for just over a week. When we arrived we were shown around the house and the area for some good dog walking routes. We had dinner with Dave and Ruth and one of their daughters and her family. We had a great night with them, they are incredibly hospitable people with a great sense of humour. Frank and Mary are incredible dogs, we wanted to take them with us when we left. They are very well behaved, easy to walk, cuddly and bring you their prizes in the morning which is so cute. We miss them already. The area to walk in is paradise. There are so many beautiful nature walking tracks everywhere and shops/pubs are around a 30 min walk through the forest what more could you want. The house itself is a beautiful old English cottage with an aga which we loved learning how to use. There are lots of very cool quirky things in the house and we had such a comfortable stay here. We felt very privileged to have been chosen for this sit and to have had the opportunity to meet this amazing family and their beautiful pooches. We would sit for them again anytime!
We had an amazing time housesitting Dexter and Montana. They are the most loving pups who just want unlimited cuddles! They are very low maintenance dogs and were a pleasure to look after, we will really miss them! Ellen and Jacob’s apartment complex is great, is in a perfect location and has a lovely pool and games room. Ellen was very kind and shared lots things that we could do in the area whilst we were visiting. We would highly recommend housesitting Dexter and Montana!
