Very pleasant location and accommodation. Lots of local info provided for visiting the area. The animals were great to look after, we enjoyed our week with them!
What a wonderful opportunity to sit for Raleigh, a very lovable, well-behaved, and friendly dog. Patty and Glenn are extremely helpful and friendly hosts who gave me wonderful tips on what was located in the area and what I might find of interest. They made sure I was familiar and comfortable with the different amenities of their home and gave me thorough instructions regarding care of Raleigh and any information I might need to contact them in case of emergency. I would highly recommend sitting for Raleigh, he is incredibly loveable, and their home is extremely comfortable and in a beautiful location, great neighborhood and close to activities in Santa Fe. I had an absolutely wonderful time!
I had a lovely time in Didcot with this sweet trio of kitties. All very loveable and sociable and each with her own character. They were absolutely good as gold and a real pleasure to look after. I felt very welcomed by the family and had a lovely stay in their home which is spacious, pristine and comfortable. I recommend this sit and would be happy to return.
Pet owner was lovely and ChaCha a wonderful roommate. :) Just wish the sit was longer. :/
We loved spending time with Katrina's animals in Woodland Hills! Sadie especially is such a sweetie and snuggle bug, and has tons of energy and love to go around. Gaia is super affectionate and loves to be wherever you are, while Stormy keeps a little more to herself but loves pets! Neither of the cats get along particularly well with Sadie in our experience though, which makes for some (albeit manageable) hissing/swatting/chasing around the house. The neighborhood is very woodsy and secluded. It felt private and tucked away, and walking with Sadie and exploring this hidden gem during our stay was a definite highlight. The house itself is quite a charming little cottage, but in need of cleaning in places (we arrived to full trashcans and dirty litter under and around the box). Shortly into our stay we discovered a couple fleas on/around Sadie and after checking in with Katrina learned that she might not be up to date on her flea meds (which we then administered). Katrina was very communicative even while out of the country as we dealt with issues or had questions, which we were very grateful for, but we also would have benefitted from the pup being up to date on all necessary meds and from clearer and more detailed information upfront. This was particularly true of the issues with Sadie's house training, as we weren't made fully aware that she still frequently goes pee and poo in the house. Katrina gave us some helpful tells and advice after we reached out about it, but we would have appreciated knowing beforehand. I was given basic information during my visit to the home prior to our sit and from an info sheet left at the house for us, but it felt insufficient once we began our stay. We also had to take Stormy to the vet during our sit, and Katrina was extremely gracious and reimbursed us happily/promptly. All in all, Katrina was a very communicative and friendly host and we really enjoyed caring for her animals while she was away. Future sitters would probably benefit from a Welcome Guide and a cleaner space for a successful sit.
I am giving Elisha a 1 star ⭐️ review for the follow reasons and I would urge house sitters to think twice before agreeing to sit for her. Pros: Because I like to be truthful… 1) Her home was clean upon arrival 2) She lives in a nice neighborhood 3) Her dog was very friendly +she did leave a welcome binder with instructions Cons: The is the truth as well… 1) She will accuse you of stealing items from her home 2) She will accuse you of roaming her home and going through her stuff without any proof besides the thoughts in her own mind 3) She will accuse you of not giving her dog Rufus him medication 4) She will ask if her friends can come over to retrieve items aka to spy on you 5) She will deny all of the hard work that you’ve done and nitpick over every little thing. If you value your mental health, choose someone else. Honestly, even if you do everything you’re supposed to do as a house sitter, at the end it won’t matter. If you are looking to be rewarded with a good review for your hard work and dedication of your services, I suggest applying elsewhere.
