Melissa
Amazing! Great sense of humor too. 😀 They asked great questions prior to arrival, and gave daily updates and based upon my request. Knowing my cats were in great hands made it much easier to travel. They were the best and even gave me recommendations about places to eat, and things to do about where I was traveling to. Bonus!! I highly recommend Mark and Melissa and would welcome them back anytime they were in my area.

Sasha
Sasha was a fantastic host. We met up with her before the sit and she welcomed us into her home. She took the time to explain where everything was and what needed doing during the stay as well as printing detailed instructions which made the handover smooth and the stay stress free.

Sasha’s house is gorgeous and in a great central location. Flagstaff is a lovely area and the house has a beautiful park on its doorstep. The kitchen is very well equipped as well. Sasha also offered to book cleaners for us during our stay to keep the place clean and tidy which was really generous of her.

Thanks again Sasha for having us. We had a lovely stay! Would recommend to other house sitters.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Let me share our recent experience with you. After spending a few years without a garden or a pet, my partner and I, both digital nomads, were longing for that connection. We had the pleasure of meeting Denise and Dale virtually, through TrustedHousesitters during our stay in Greece, and our journey led us to their inviting cottage in Somerset. We ended up staying there for close to two months, taking care of their lovely labradoodle, Basil.

The cottage itself is a charming piece of history, nestled in a quaint village. Surrounded by thatched cottages, a small church, and friendly neighbors who also happen to be pet owners, the place exudes a sense of warmth and community.

Denise and Dale were exceptional hosts, providing us with a tour of their well-equipped home. Every modern convenience was at hand, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Since public transport was scarce, having a car was a necessity. However, the nearby towns offered all the necessary amenities, from major supermarkets to everyday essentials.

Now, let's talk about Basil. He's a laid-back labradoodle who stole our hearts. His calm and relaxed nature was truly endearing. Basil's uncanny ability to spot cricket, tennis, and baseballs during walks was both amusing and impressive.

Basil was not only friendly with people but also got along well with other animals. He was content with his own company, allowing us to focus on our work without any disturbances.

He was well-trained when it came to house manners, but he did have his own preferences – occasional grooming and a mid-morning biscuit treat. We set alarms to make sure we didn't forget, and Basil's patience during these routines was admirable.

Saying goodbye to Basil after spending so much time together was bittersweet. The bond we formed with him was undeniable.

In conclusion, our time with Basil, Denise, and Dale was a remarkable experience. If you're considering taking care of Basil, we wholeheartedly recommend it. This chapter in our digital nomad journey has been enriched by the presence of this charming labradoodle, and we wouldn't trade it for anything.

We had such a great time with Sammie and Charlie. They truly are super cute! They looooove to play (watch out, they’re small but really fast, like REALLY! And they will tell you if you are not fast enough! Haha), and they love to Love and be on your laps! But they also are able to be on their own and have fun together (or sleep!).

Betty and Bob were really friendly and welcoming. Their communication was super clear. Their house is great and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet, while still having some neighbours around.

Lovely people, lovely pets, great house: this was an ideal sit and we would happily come back.

This sit was absolutely wonderful! The house is so nice, and the cats are adorable, living their free-roam forest lives but coming home for cuddles and a good sleep. Tiddles wasn't shy at all and had us give him a belly rub already on day 1. We loved his energetic way of running into the house, such a cutie! Grommy was a little bit more shy, but we were helped by the rain on day 3 when she discovered that we could give belly rubs quite well, too. ;) She is such a cutie as well, kneading into the air when you give her belly rubs.
Driving to and from the house was a little bit of challenge for us with our camper as well as parking in the driveway, but with a normal car, this would be absolutely no problem at all. The all-round deck is fantastic, you can always find a space in the sun, without wind, if you want that - it was actually too hot in the sun during the first days we were there, unbelievable! Tiffany left the welcome guide in printed form, which made it fast and easy to look things up, and which gave information in great detail. Whenever we had a technical problem, she always responded fast. We loved the bed that filled out the bedroom completely. This also made window duty (letting the cats in and out at night) no problem. We also loved the small house, it had everything you needed very neat and compact. The water-saving toilet took a little getting used to, but it makes absolute sense to have one of those. One week was too short to explore this lovely area, especially as we found it quite hard to leave the place to go on day trips. ;) This sit was a dream come true for us and we can only recommend staying here as a sitter.

Phil
Phil and Joan were very warm and gave clear instructions for how to care for their home and their precious little dogs, Roxy and Roscoe. Roscoe was my friend right away, but it took a couple of hours to win over Roxy. By the time I left, though, she was my constant companion. Their lovely home right on the river allowed for a beautiful, restorative view throughout the day and amazing sunsets. The proximity to Topsail Island (10 minutes away) made quick excursions to the beach possible, and since Phil took the time to show me where all the free parking was, I felt like a local, which I love to do when traveling. Excellent, fresh seafood restaurant nearby. Couldn’t stay away. The staff started recognizing us when we walked in to pick up our orders. Phil stayed in touch, so I didn’t worry about what to do when there was a threat of a hurricane/tropical storm during my stay. Overall lovely, lovely people, lovely experience, and sweet dogs. ( I thought, perhaps I shouldn’t let anyone know how great my experience was, so Phil and Joan will have not choice but to choose me for all of their housesitting needs. ;-)

Heather
It was a pleasure to sit with Kaila and Milo for Heather! Kaili is a very well trained, well behaved dog, listens well and knows what is expected from her. Although she is reactive to other dogs, it is easy to manage if you keep aware of your surroundings. Milo was very affectionate and loved to cuddle and seek attention and pets. I very much enjoyed spending a week with them both! Would definitely recommend sitting for Heather and plan to return if our schedules align again!

The location is great in the heart of Miami, overlooking the water, it is actually right next to the waterfront, and a short distance from the beach, shopping and great dining.
