Michelle’s home is very beautiful and in a tranquil location. Tranquility is far from what I experienced during this sit. Her large GWP dog Huxley requires a strict schedule starting at 7am, with two hours of walking each day as well as playtime and quality time. I was encouraged to walk the dog off lead during these hour long walks, as Michelle and her dog walkers do, despite misgivings about the dogs behavior. The trails around her house are heavily populated with horses, pet dogs, and small animals. Huxley has been trained, but is unwilling to obey orders from either me or Michelle half the time. What I was not told, and SHOULD have been informed of as his sitter, is that Huxley is dangerous around other dogs. He may be dangerous around people as well. While walking him he aggressively charged at and bit another dog, who was appropriately on a leash. Had the other dog fought back rather than cowering I believe Huxley might have killed it. He has an extremely strong prey drive, which was obvious from the start as he would chase and bark at every small animal or bird we came across. He required constant attention while outside to stop him from barking at birds, and there is limited space for him inside. Huxley should under no circumstances he walked off a leash, and I do not believe that this is the first incident of its type. Several of Michelle’s neighbors had expressed concern to me about Huxley, referring to him as a nightmare.

We really enjoyed this house sit. Stewart & Brandy are a lovely couple who made us feel very welcome in their home. We had our own bedroom with plenty of clothes storage & space in fridge & freezer, which is great. A lot of people don’t think of this. Communication was excellent before & during the sit.
Tia has a lovely personality, she’s very intelligent & talks a lot. It did take a few days for her to feel comfortable with us. At first she came downstairs for food & went back up to sleep on Stewart & Brandy’s bed. But she soon came around to us & we had a great time playing with her & taking her for walks.
Whitley Bay has everything you could do want in a Town & their house is so close to everything, whilst been a few streets back, it’s amazingly quiet. There is a new Library at the end for their street. The shopping area, restaurants, Beach & Spanish City are a very short walk away. We would highly recommend this sit & would love to be invited again. Thank you Stewart, Brandy & Beautiful Tia

My stay with Elvis in Portland was wonderful! He is such a sweet boy, super low-maintenance, and just all-around great company. Stephanie's home is beautiful and in a great location. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, yet close to all things Portland has to offer. Stephanie was great before and during the sit. I had everything I needed and more during my stay. I highly recommend staying with Elvis if you get the chance!
