Sarah and David are the best. They are fun, laid back, kind and also sensible/informative when needs be. Such lovely people in a fantastic area with two adorable kitties and beautiful house. I really hope that we stay in touch and that I am able to sit for them again.
Greta was such a pleasure to spend time with. She has a cute little personality and is a cuddle bug for sure. I was happy to accommodate all her needs and take care of her during this short holiday stay. The hosts, Michael and his wife were very communicative, welcoming and supportive throughout my visit. I would definitely recommend this pet stay if you’re coming to the LA area.
I had such a great time looking after Billie! She is an absolute sweetheart, so well-behaved and affectionate, and is always up for some cuddles :) I enjoyed so much exploring the nice parks near by with her. Vanita was really friendly and made the sitting really easy, sharing any information that might become handy during the sitting. Her apartment is lovely, well-equipped, in a nice and quiet neighbourhood, and near by the tube and bus stations to get central London. Thank you Vanita for the wonderful experience. I hope to come back and look after Billie again soon!
This was such a wonderful and peaceful housesit ! Pat and Alan were so welcoming and friendly . They explained everything about their lovely house and the area thoroughly before they left. The house has gorgeous water views and is right near the bike path. Odie was such a fun and easy going dog who enjoyed being my travel companion while touring and walking around the area. Piper was also affectionate and easy to care for. Thank you so much Pat and Alan for sharing your Odie, Piper, and house with me!
What a wonderful sit! A beautiful family of four: gracious and kind parents Claire & Kevin, with playful (& cute) Jax and soulful (& loyal) Luna. A winning combination. Claire and Kevin put us at ease on our “meet and greet” phone call and we immediately sensed that this sit would be something special. Their comfortable home is within walking distance of local shopping, museums, music venues and some very nice restaurants. Our “Guide” Kevin created a short list of great eating establishments nearby that we frequented during our sit. We were so comfortable there, that by the time we left, we felt we were a part of the neighborhood. The two weeks with Luna & Jax were unbelievably fulfilling & joyful. Luna & Jax are such well-behaved dogs it was a pleasure to be with them every day. Their cuteness and sweet souls simply melted our hearts. We took them to the near-by park every morning, meeting new dog friends and greeting old ones along the way. Jax and Luna easily made many many new dog friends in the park. We watched them chase tennis balls, their friends and themselves, while occasionally perfecting their tree-climbing & squirrel hunting skills. It was simply a blast. Our two weeks went by like a flash. The ultimate compliment of taking care of them is that they are so loving & lovable, you never want to leave home without them and if you do, you always want to hurry back home to see them again. Thank you so much for letting us stay @ the “Luna & Jax Pet Therapy Spa”. We’d love to do it again and again and…. 😊
I really enjoyed my time with Sparkle - what a sweetheart cat. She’s affectionate yet independent and she would sometimes come for a quick hello and some chin strokes before heading back out again. So sweet. Maggie and I connected instantly. She is very warm and generous and made me feel at home right away. The house is spacious and well-connected, with everything one could need. Thanks Maggie for your trust and I hope to see you and Sparkle again sometime!

Heidi’s houndstays was great. She looked after our beautiful shar pei Alfie for 3 nights and we got constant video and photos updates. The dogs all looked like they were having a great time. We will definitely use Heidi again and would happily recommend her to everyone.
I couldnt recommend Heidi’s Houndstay more highly. My German Shepherd was always excited to stay there and absolutely loved Heidi and all her staff. For your dog to have the best time + for you to be stress free, we strongly recommend Heidi's Houndstay!!! We left our pup, Porto, at Heidi's for a day and she looked after him like her own! The other dogs at her place were also so gentle and playful! The best bit was that she sent us photos & videos of Porto all day, which not only gave us peace of mind, but also so much joy to see our little furball having such a fun time! And her property and the doggy studio are just incredible! We cannot recommend Heidi enough! Our pup had the best time and returned home with a cute little Bindi on his forehead - to blend right in with the Byron life! Thanks Heidi!!!
My two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are sociable dogs but also quite placid. As they had never been away from home before I was a bit concerned leaving them for 3 nights. Heidi ensured that they were accommodated with dogs of a similar temperament, and they had the best time! The video updates from Heidi were so reassuring. I could see how relaxed the dogs were and how much fun they were having on their walks exploring the property. I would happily send them to Heidi's Houndstay in the future.
Heidi is incredible, she absolutely pampers our baby. So much respect and care was shown to our puppy and to all of the dogs that I saw when I was in the vicinity. We will be booking in with the Heidi again. We had some pretty specific requirements for our stay and they backed us the entire time and helped to sort any issues out immediately. Our Mini labradoodle had the best 3 night stay at Heidi’s Houndstay’s. Heidi made Locky feel at home immediately introducing him to several puppies who joined him in play. He had a blast and was exhausted from all the socializing during his stay. The property allows for a lot of off leash exploration on this gorgeous farm. A studio has been set up for the dogs over night stays and works perfectly as they feel right at home. Heidi shared photo’s of our dogs fun times while he was there, keeping us in the loop. It’s great to have a wonderful place for our dog to have a vacation while we’re away. Thanks so much.
I cannot recommend Heidi and Heidi’s Houndstay enough!! We left our 1.5 yo German Shepherd (Quincy) with Heidi for a few days while we were in Byron, it was the first time he’d ever stayed with someone he didn’t know and it was incredible! Heidi’s property is gorgeous with lots of different large areas (so the younger dogs can play while older ones relax or sleep!). Heidi also just knows dogs and has the utmost love and respect for them. She’s so knowledgeable and relaxed, which made both myself, my partner and Quincy feel comfortable having him there. She sent us plenty of photos and videos while he was there which was awesome! This is not at all a ‘kennel’ or a ‘dog motel’ - it’s honestly a holiday for your dog! Quincy had the best time, made some great new friends and will 100% be back!
We sent our 5 months old chocolate lab Moose to Heidi for half a day as we were going on a snorkelling trip. Heidi was friendly, professional and easy going. I could tell moose had an amazing time with Heidi and other puppies. He discovered his love for water while he was with Heidi and we’re so thrilled since we’ve been trying for months to get him to love water. We loved the fact she had a massive property where the dogs can run free, and enjoy the nature. She Took such good care of our Moose. We would definitely be returning back when we’re back in the Byron bay area. Just wish we found her earlier! I would highly recommend Heidi
Heidi is very calm, efficient and obviously mad about dogs. She has such rapport with them! She sends us regular videos and photos of our dog so we can see how happy he is, playing with other dogs. We’d absolutely recommend Heidi’s Houndstay - and so would Postie, if he could talk or type.
Totally recommend Heidi’s Houndstay Heidi has a real genuine love for animals which was shown when we first meet with her. I recently needed a dog sitter at short notice for my beautiful Sammi girl. Heidi was fantastic with a quick response Sammi’s stay was made easy for both of us, as Heidi regularly sent text and photos of sammie’s stay, being loved and spoilt Sammi absolutely loved the farm like surrounding at Heidi’s Houndstay. Will definitely book Heidi in every time I’m in the area.
We love Carey's dog minding service because our dog loves it! Our Westie Peggy can't wait to join Carey's dogs as they are wonderful companions and make beach time extra special. Carey's professionalism, kind and caring nature combined with her skills with all dog breeds is priceless. Her property is generous, comfortable and clean. Her containment of the number of dogs she hosts mean they get excellent care and attention. We enjoy our time away because of the confidence and security Carey provides. Peggy has such a fine time that we are tempted to book ourselves in! And we promise to be good!!😀😀
Carey is absolutely wonderful taking care of the dogs. Our Frankie goes once a week to daycare and has just started staying over. We know she is in such good hands and do not worry about her. She loves the beach trips and making new friends. Highly recommend! 🐶
Millie is a regular day care and overnight veteran with Carey at Paradise for Pooches and she loves it!. It’s a definite stress free service and Carey’s love for dogs is abundantly clear in the way they respond to her. Finding a safe and caring environment to leave our fur baby is so important - we can’t recommend Paradise for Pooches highly enough!
We just LOVE Carey. Buster has been in paradise 2 days a week and the odd night for over a year and he is always sooooo excited to play w all the other dogs that Carey has all under control very well! I mean 2 walks a day at the beach! Amazing! Carey is such a caring woman and deeply respects the animals and is very friendly and easy w us owners!!! Can highly highly recommend Carey and her service to anyone who loves their dogs!! Xxxx
Hello! Peggy the Westie here! I have just returned home from another awesome little stay with Carey and friends. As soon as I got a "whiff" of my holiday destination I started to whinge and carry on in the car. Then I nearly dislocated my mum's arm in my eagerness to join my hosts. As soon as my leash was removed I took off to play and even forgot to say bye bye to mum and dad ...oops! (Although I have made amends with an extra big loop -the-loop hello upon their return.) Mum says that all my compliments about Carey's may mislead people to think that I live in a small cardboard box and do nothing. In truth, I have a wonderful life and home full of love and adventure. I say that just goes to show how good it is at Carey's.....if it can excite a spoiled kid like me it must be paradise!!
Carey is just wonderful, can't recommend her enough. Fantastic with dogs, huge and safe fenced yard - right across from the beach. My dog loves her two dogs as well.
Most awesome dog carer, trainer and entertainer! Our little Lloyd loves hanging with his besties and Carey at the beach and in her massive backyard. And he comes home with manners!

Our 2 miniature poodles, both with differing personalities have been going regularly for about a month now. Once a week. They both enjoy Jane's way and come home calm happy and settled. We really like her service.

Judy is absolutely amazing, she loved our little poodle as her own and gave us daily updates and videos. Beach trips, daily walks with the other dogs and cuddles on the couch. I felt so secure knowing scout was loved so dearly while we were away. Couldn’t recommend her enough!
We are so happy to have found Judy at Happy Tails Byron Bay. We have 2 chihuahuas who can be very particular and fussy, one of them fear aggressive and the other a little on the nippy -feisty side and Judy handled them with ease and warmth. We loved getting the fun video updates when we were overseas- she clearly has a lovely way with dogs and we were very relaxed being away, knowing the dogs were so well looked after . I can't recommend Judy highly enough.
Judy is wonderful with my dogs They really love going to stay with her Tails wagging I tell them they are off to a doggy resort for a holiday !! We have been using happy tails for a while now for our dog Kenny each time we go away. I used to get so much anxiety finding Kenny a reliable sitter until we found Judy. Kenny loves going to stay with Judy and runs into her place excited to play with his doggie pals. She sends regular updates and also clips his nails which we really appreciate as struggle to do ourselves. He comes home exhausted from a fun filled time and I’m sure he doesn’t miss us at all 😂
We wouldn’t just leave our guy, Reuben with just anyone but at Happy Tails, he’s treated like part of the family! He loves the interaction with the other pups and he totally loves his cuddles with Judy and Dave. We never have to worry about anything, although sometimes we wonder if he wants to come home again! Having big cousin Vinny to hang out with is a definite bonus, too. Best doggy day care ever!

Judy was an angel heaven sent at very short notice after we were told our pup wasn’t welcome at our accommodation. Our Bear was still just a puppy but in Judy’s hands he was well behaved and loved being part of Judy’s “pack”. 100% recommend to all! Thank you Judy.

When my partner and I started planning for a week overseas, we turned to Happy Tails to care for our girl, Poppy. She’d been to Doggie Day Care at their place a few times, and we loved the attention they gave each dog, the full access they allowed them to their dog-friendly property, and of course the impressive the pack walks. During her stay, we got daily updates, pics and videos, on Poppy’s mood, activities and play with the other pups—putting our minds at ease. We’re confident she enjoyed her time with Dave and Judy, and are sure she’ll look forward to staying with them again.
I was so so happy with Judy minding my beloved greyhound, Perriwinkle. Its a gorgeous location and so peaceful, being set in rain forest only 8 minutes from Byron with dogs lying around on the deck on daybeds. Very sweet. Perriwinkle settled in beautifully and Judy kindly sent me texts with photos of my dog who had settled in beautifully the first and second days. I wouldf highly recommend Happy Tails of Byron and so prefer to the idea of an impersonal kennel somewhere as my dog was obviously loved and pampered as she was very relaxed when i collected her. Naomi provides an excellent service that ensures we are able to go away for work or holidays without a worry. She is an excellent and reliable pet sitter. On a number of occasions she has looked after our pets with short notice and has done a fantastic job. Our boys are not the easiest to work with, they are often stubborn and disobedient but Naomi treats them with love and care. She will often send updates and pictures and is very easy to work with when unexpected challenges arise. Naomi goes above and beyond and is very trustworthy while we are away. We are very happy with and highly recommend Just Like Home Petsitters.
Our little pomeranian stayed with Naomi and her Mum at "Just Like Home Petsitters" in Bilambil for 7 weeks while we travelled through Europe and Egypt. He was extremely well looked after. Naomi treats all animals like her own and did such a wonderful job. We were always kept informed on how our little man was going through both messages and photos. This made it so much easier for us to enjoy our travels knowing he was enjoying his holiday too. Thanks so much Naomi.

Can not thank Miff and Jodie enough for taking care of our Labradoodle Zeke whilst we were up in Byron. The love and care they provide is like no other! Our boy had the best time and was so well looked after. The photos and check ins we received gave us complete peace of mind whilst away. The Grateful Dog isn’t like your typical dog stay, no cages just freedom, fun, cuddles, play and love. Plus he has come back with so many extra social skills which has been a complete added bonus. They simply are the best and we definitely highly recommend.
