Alex is everything you’re looking for in a sitter! One of our favorites so far. Reliable, responsive, friendly, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented. He took great care of our big dog, taking him and George for long walks around town, to dog beach, and even for day trips. He made everything easy for us, followed our instructions and checked if we were ok with things if he wasn’t sure. We enjoyed his daily (or more frequent) fun updates with pictures and video. Alex is super easy to communicate with, flexible and easygoing. He made the most of his stay in our area, took some of our tips and did his own exploring. House was super clean when we returned and Alex did some extra things which were very considerate. Alex’s plans leading up to our housesit were thrown off by a homeowner canceling last-minute due to COVID, but he was amazingly cool about it, did his research about how to handle it through the zeewoi website, and found alternative housing in our town. We met up with him a few days before our trip and met his sweet pup George. George was great! A little guy. Not the least bit aggressive. He was a little nervous around all the commotion at dog beach and stuck close to Alex. Clearly well taken care of by his doting dog dad. We were glad our dog had the additional company and that George had energy for miles-long walks and park playdates. We’re so glad we found Alex. Highly recommend!

This was our first time using Clay for a sit at our Maui home. Clay was very friendly and super responsive to all of the planning and set up for his sit at our home. He asked all the right questions on getting ready to come to Maui and be with our dogs. This was also our first time to use a solo only sitter. All our previous sits have been with a couple or team of two. Prior to selecting Clay; we reviewed and disclosed with him that our dogs are strong for their small, compact and muscular size. We clearly reviewed with him the previous feedback from past sitters to emphasize the strong nature of our dogs and what they can do if they decide to pull hard on a leash walk. We felt really good about our interview with Clay and selected him right away. Unfortunately; when Clay arrived at the Maui airport, he reported to us fairly quick, that he had tweaked his back at his hometown airport when he left to come to Maui. The pain he reported was coming from his chronic sciatica in his back. We felt super bad for Clay and were really worried that the dog sitting was going to compromise his back health since he reported harsh back pain. Fortunately; we had a clear and honest discussion with Clay and he let us know that he was totally up to perform the dog sit (bad back or not) and for us not to worry about him and the dogs. We trusted his decision and left for our trip. He let us know that this was a long term chronic back condition so he assured us he knew his limitations and everything would be fine for this stay. We really appreciated his honesty and candor and felt fine to leave. During our nearly 3 week trip; Clay gave us updates on his time taking care of our dogs with feeding, play time and walks. We got frequent updates from Clay and the dogs appeared happy playing and being with Clay. Clay reported that the dogs were happy during his stay. We had a mix up on our return date from South America. Normally our sitters are requested to leave the day after we arrive back from a trip to make sure we make it to all the way home to Maui. However; a mistake was made and I gave Clay the travel date we were leaving South America as the date to plan his return travel. Long story short; Clay's return flight to his home from Maui left 4 hours before we were scheduled land back on Maui. Fortunately; our return flights were all on time and we got home in plenty of time to greet our dogs with lots of hugs and kisses with them only having a 6 hour home alone time. We didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Clay in person; but we did speak on the phone and reviewed the sit a day or so later. After this sit; we would recommend Clay for pet sitting because of his responsiveness and caring to do a good job.

I wanted to love this sit. Don’t get me wrong, the dogs were well cared for. My Turkey was ill when I got home and had lost quite a bit of weight. This very well may not be from the care she received. The instructions I had left for watering… the entire greenhouse was dead, planter pots and all of the dahlia garden. I left healthy , beautiful six foot tomato’s and cucumbers which have had withered and died. The weather was very hot. This is a productive garden yet it was dry and unwatered. The specific instructions regarding the water hose being turned off were not followed. Paula was communicative and sent many lovely pictures. I was unable to reach her for a period of time. Otherwise although very saddened by the gardens, everything else was ok.

Grace was such a gift to me. She communicated beautifully and followed through on everything necessary for caring for my home and Sugar! Even though I came back a day early, everything looked wonderful and Sugar was quite happy!

My time in Gothenburg with Ralph was very nice. Ralph is very sweet. He likes to be in the same room and just enjoy the time with you.
Lola and Charlie welcomed me immediately and the communication was great. The apartment is located in the center of Gothenburg and everything is within walking distance.
It was a great time and would come back again

I have been pet sitting for quite a while and this was definitely on the top of my list! I was lucky enough to stay at the Silver Star Ski resort durning the lovely summertime. Both dogs are just so sweet. We went on the most stunning hikes. Everyday there was something new to discover. If you like beautiful mountain air and scenery then this is the perfect place to come and do a sit. Olive and her son were such wonderful hosts. They made sure I had everything to be comfortable before they left. I am really hoping to come back again to this magical location and sit for Olive again.

We got a warm & friendly greeting from Stephanie & Derek on our arrival
Clear instructions left via welcome guide before the sit & printed on arrival which was very helpful.

Their home is absolutely beautiful & in such a lovely peaceful location just a 10 minute drive into York Center. Although large it was warm & cosy & immaculate throughout with lovely comfortable bed fluffy pillows & towels. Just like staying in a 5* hotel!

Now to the important part. The pets. They are all adorable & such a pleasure to look after. Charlie boy is a character who loves to watch tv! He has his favourite adverts & sits waiting for them to come on. He especially likes the ones with animals lol 😂
Bella is so sweet & gentle you would never guess she is actually the boss!
They love to cuddle up to you of a night & are great company. They are no trouble whatsoever & we’re happy with a few short walks as they have lots of land to run round on.
Tiddles is very self sufficient & will come to you now & then for a little stroke & tickle.

We wouldn’t hesitate to do this sit again as we couldn’t fault it & there’s still plenty of York we would like to see weather permitting.

Thank you for sharing your home & pets with us & making us feel welcome

Lindsey
Howard & Lindsey welcomed me warmly into their lovely home and Howard gave me a tour of the farm while Lindsey prepared a lovely meal.
The animals and birds were all a pleasure to look after, especially Titus who had a constant wagging tail and loved to chase a ball. Achilles refused to let her age and poor health stop her from running around the farm and she loved affection.
Copper & Ringo were great together and Copper was a gentle giant from day one, while Ringo became more accepting of me after a few feeds!
Etna & Norman are wonderful cattle and it was a real pleasure to be close to them.
The peacocks are stunning and it was fascinating to see their positions of hierarchy at feeding time.
Even with overnight snow and frozen pipes on one day, this sit was hugely rewarding and especially with the help of Howard and Lindsey’s wonderful team of staff.
Cameron, the farm hand, spent a few days working the land during the week and we had enjoyable conversations about nature and animals.
Belle did a fantastic job of cleaning out the bird cages, Toni cleaned the house to a very high standard and Kelly made the professional care of horses and stables look easy.
I can highly recommend this house sit and I look forward to a return visit in January.

Sarah
This was a last minute sit, which we were delighted to find, after our planned one got cancelled in sad circumstances. The three cats, home, surroundings and little seaside town were delightful. Perfect for a relaxed escape from the big city – comfortable, very clean and well-equipped lived-in home, with doorstep access to fields and forest for great walks and scenery, beautiful sandy bay nearby (where we swam a few times - but not Mediterranean temperatures), access to all we needed in the lively very pretty town with harbour, lots of interesting history. The cats are a trio of very happy, contented, independent, affectionate cats - a good balance of doing their thing - hunting, exploring, sleeping .. and relating to us, though each with a quite distinct personality. We greatly enjoyed being their carers. Sarah is very friendly and easy going. Setting up the sit was done very quickly and easily, and communication was good and as needed. We don't have a car, which was fine in the good weather we had throughout, but can see in colder wetter times, this may be a disadvantage. There are also good bus and train services to get elsewhere including Edinburgh. We highly recommend this sit, and would gladly come again (perhaps not in winter!).

Colleen’s place is great, and Ariel and Ursula are such cute, quirky cats. I would sit for them again in a heartbeat. The neighborhood has great amenities and the apartment is clean and comfortable - perfect for a little getaway. Colleen does a great job making you feel welcome.
