I highly recommend this sit! Suzi is so sweet and was great to communicate with. Her and her husband Hal were both very nice and accommodating with whatever I needed. They have a lovely home and I loved watching Bedelia and Seraphina! They are such sweet cats and I loved cuddling with them and watching them for the time I was there! Happy to do it again!!
Absolutely perfect! From first contact, Greg and Sarah were great with communication, setting up a facetime chat to discuss Hazel's needs and all the details of the sit. We headed down the day before the sit started. Greg and Sarah had made sure a parking space on the drive was free for us before welcoming us into their beautiful home, showing us around, making sure we would be completely comfortable, then introducing us to Hazel, who really is the perfect dog! Greg also showed us around the neighbourhood, pointing out great places to eat, buy groceries etc, before taking us to meet Hazel's buddies (and their very friendly owners) in the local park. We were then treated to a delicious meal, which was a very nice surprise and made us feel super-spoilt! It was fabulous to spend time chatting with Sarah, Greg and their two lovely children - very easy to chat to. Lovely people. Once the sit started, we got to know Hazel more fully, and what an absolute darling! Perfect on a lead, playful and fun, affectionate, well-socialised with other dogs, attentive (especially when favourite treats were on offer), and very, very clever. We did lots of walks in the local park so she could have fun with her buddies, plus a number of 3hr+ walks through Kingston and along the Thames; we also took a train/tube trip to Battersea Powerstation and Battersea Park - Hazel was so well-behaved and a dog to be proud of! It was very hard to say goodbye to her at the end of our sit. During the sit, the neighbourhood and our accommodation were absolutely top-notch - we loved it! Super easy transport, though every possible provision was actually within walking distance and the area was great to explore without catching any bus or train. I was also able to indulge in my gym/swim habits locally too, which was a bonus. Not sure what else to say, really, other than this was the absolute perfect sit in every way! Thank you for trusting us with Hazel and allowing us the privilege of staying in your beautiful home.
Hi, I've had a great visit to Vieques. Carol's place is quiet and set back in the hills with a lot of privacy, but you're just 5 minutes from town. I happen to have my own car, but Carol's is available for sitters to use. And do drive slowly, there are horses everywhere. Nettie is a wonderful and sweet dog. She can be a bit skittish, so you just have to let her decide when she does and doesn't want to get out of the car. You will also feed 4 cats, one of whom is allowed in during the day. They need to be fed twice a day and you do have to stay out there as chickens will come steal their food. You'll also have to stay on top of weed-whacking the yard, which isn't that big of a deal. Carol herself is a very nice person and a good communicator, though she is not needy while out of town. Vieques is small and while I'm usually a pretty social person, I haven't gone out much while I'm here. I guess I've gone to Mar Azul a few times, they have Karaoke on Fridays and sometimes live music. I'd be happy to come back again in the future. Just understand that it's a small, quiet island... except for the roosters, which come and go. Thank you Carol!!
It was a pleasure to look after Wallis and Jack's home and their characterful cat Cyrus. Wallis and Jack's home is wonderful to spend time in, is peaceful and homely with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Wallis and Jack were great hosts: kind, generous, communicative and well organised to ensure house details were available before, during and after our stay. Little Cyrus was a delight to look after - a very unique and expressive little man who loved playing and cosying in equal measure. It was a joy to spend time with him. A wonderful sit. I'd highly recommend.
I had a great stay in Cambridge with Scout, he is a funny and friendly companion and the house is lovely. We had nice walks at the market and in the park I recommend!
This was an absolutely wonderful house & pet sit. The dogs were very relaxed & friendly, & on the whole very well behaved. Hamish can be a bit contrary sometimes, like not wanting breakfast when its offered, not coming when called, and going for a long evening forage when you've taken him for a late night pee before bed. So its best to take him out on the lead for his last pee of the day we found. The house & gardens are delightful, an absolute pleasure to be in. Mika has a housekeeper, so we didnt need to do a great deal of cleaning on leaving, but we always like to leave the place tidy & clean, with linen washed. There was also minimal to do in the garden, unless we wanted to, as theres a gardener who comes once a week. Mika was very kind & hospitable, and kept in communication with us which was great. It was a sit with no problems, and very comfortable & interesting. Hopefully we'll have a chance to take care of Hamish & Hallie again. Many thanks Mika xx
