Susan is an amazing sitter and we are happy to give her our highest recommendation. She watched our two senior pug boys for a week and we felt very fortunate to have connected with her. We have had many good pet sitters over the years, including 12 with Zeewoi, and Susan has set a new high bar for quality of care. Susan spent a lot of time with us getting to know our pets before the sit. We had many conversations about some recent healthcare issues one of our boys developed prior to the sit, and Susan showed empathy and made some good suggestions to help prepare for the sit. When we met in person, she listened closely to our instructions and spent time interacting with our guys so that we were completely confident everything would go well. Communication was excellent while we were away, with lots of text updates. This was a challenging sit because our boys are both seniors and one (Sawyer) is deaf and blind. Both pets require a variety of medications and other accomodations. Susan was completely up to the task, providing extra TLC for Sawyer when he became anxious or disoriented. She is extremely knowledgeable about dog care, having cared for many, many foster pets, and she is a true pet lover. When we returned home, the house was as tidy as we left it and the boys looked well cared for. Consider yourself lucky if you can connect with Susan for a sit. Susan travels with her four-legged companion Remi, who is a very well behaved, chill dog.
Barbara has well decorated clean house with wonderful garden. I enjoyed staying in her garden with her kitty, Sweet pea, watching hummingbirds coming by. Sweet pea is a friendly cat who loves to sit on your lap. Barbara is an excellent communicator and left clear direction. This was an another wonderful sit for me.
I truly had a spectacular time at this sitting in Glasgow with Zoe and Max! I felt very welcomed the minute I arrived. The house is exactly as described. There are markets and a bus into the city within 5 minutes walk and a train in just 15 minutes walk. Zoe is such a fun pup and we had the most wonderful walks in the NUMEROUS parks around the house. Max is very independent but a sweetheart. The house was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the amenities were great. I hope to see everyone again in the future!
Valerie and Glynn gave us a warm welcome and a lovely meal on arrival. We had access to their car so enjoyed Brantome, Perigeaux, Bergerac, Riberac to name a few places we visited. The house was extremely comfortable with a lovely log fire. Now the cats......they must be the best cats we have ever looked after, lovely characters. For two unrelated boys they were so loving towards each other. Apollo loved cuddling up to you in the evenings. We would recommend this sit. It was a pleasure to meet Valerie and Glynn and glad they recommended the local restaurant for a fabulous 5 course plat de jour for 14.00 euros including wine and coffee!!
This sit should be rated higher than a 5 star. The pets are special. Evey is the sweetest dog we have sat in over 20 sits. Evey gives kisses when she wants to go out. Ron is extremely active and curious. His breathing treatments were simple to administer. We have never had such great communication with homeowners. They leave great instructions and we're always available by email. The apartment is 600 feet. As someone who recently downsized to twice that space, I am in awe of the level of organization Kathleen and Chris have achieved. They could teach a master class! The neighborhood is wonderful! We explored Adam's Morgan, Columbia Heights and Mt Pleasant on foot. We would love to sit here again!
The stay at Julia and Shelley's house couldn't be better! We spent incredible days with Kame'a, Boo-boo, Simon, Six, Mama and Red and also with our host Julia. She is a very lovely, kind and loving person! We felt very welcome, Julia took the time to give us instructions translated into Portuguese, which we really appreciated. Furthermore, the neighborhood is lovely, with very friendly and helpful people. The kittens are free and despite being very independent, they are loving and calm... On that occasion, the cat Six didn't show up for a few days due to construction in the neighborhood, but the situation was resolved as soon as Julia returned to Bonaire. Kame'a is much more than a service dog, she is a little dog full of love and a great companion, we love her and will never forget her, just like everyone else! We hope to see Julia, Kame'a and the kittens again soon, they were very special days for us!
Highly recommended! From the beginning stages of planning, Sophie was friendly, welcoming & filled with great local advice. She made us feel very comfortable, especially in her gorgeous apartment with her super friendly kitty, Pixelle.. The apartment is in a prime location for walks, coffee shops & is close to all the charming elements of the city (plus it is steps away from an easy-to-use metro stop). It is also great for remote working. We hope to return soon. Two thumbs up!👍👍
