Mel, Tobias and little Emile, responded to our request to look after our two dogs. They arrived as arranged the day before to get to know the house, surroundings and the dogs. Nell our elderly Labrador cross is half blind, half deaf and diabetic. She requires Insulin injections twice a day, 12 hours apart. For Mel and Tobias, none of this was any problem. We were away for 2 weeks and we left for our holiday totally relaxed and confident that our house and dogs were in good hands. Mel and Tobias are the most trustworthy and gentle young people you could wish to meet. The dogs loved them, even Harry our rescued dog who fears everything at first, came to be great friends. While we were away They both, tidied the garden, pruning and making a monumental effort in starting the “Dead Hedge” we had described to them, before leaving. It was such a treat to come home to house seemed cleaner than we had left , and a tidy garden ready for Spring. We ate together on our return, treated to Mel's vegetarian Tapas which we shall copy without shame! We enjoyed their company, our discussions, and Emile's angelic smile. The dogs have moped all afternoon, and we shall miss their company. We thoroughly recommend this charming couple to all members and hope that they can return to us in 2024. To Mel, Toby and Emile, a big thank you, and fond wishes, from Paula, Chris, Nell and Harry

We had a great stay in Kelkheim looking after Tilly and Hamish. They are absolutely adorable, easy going and seemed to adapt really quickly to us. They were a pleasure to look after.
There are lots of cute villages nearby to explore and also many different walking routes.
Rachel and Charlie were extremely welcoming and the house was very comfortable, we loved the views!
Highly recommend!

I had a lovely time with Kate, she is super sweet, loveling and easygoing, the flat is also comfortable and nice. The area falls out of the center, so you will need to rent a car, but you will enjoy a large pool and nice cafes in the neighbourhood.

Janeen
Janeen is a gracious host with a beautiful home 15 min outside Santa Fe. The dogs and cat are very social and energetic; I'd say the same about the chickens too! Be sure to have your own vehicle to get around.

Rufus is adorable, he is very a handsome, playful and loveable golden retriever. We totally fell in love with him. He is calm and gentle and still has his funny zoomies and excited playtime. Rufus has the loveliest parents and lives in a beautiful home with great walks around the village and across the fields. There are lovely views of fields and horses from the house and a courtyard for Rufus to play in between walks. We had fantastic communication throughout our stay and hope very much to be returning again soon.

Adrienne
What a fun pet-sitting stay! The home is warm and comfortable. Boo is a love - warmed up to us right away - so pretty and cuddly! Hobbes took a little longer to get to know us but is also very sweet. Amazing outdoor access for these cats - they are very lucky! Adrienne was responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Lisa
I had the pleasure of house sitting for Lisa and Doug from 1 – 8 August, from the very first meeting to discuss what would be required I felt completely at ease with them, a lovely couple who absolutely adore their 2 cats.

Django (2 years old) is a shy, timid one who doesn’t like strangers. I was told that I may not see her for the first few days and that she may not eat, but this was normal when they were away. I saw this as a challenge. I saw her going about the garden and popping into the house if I just ignored her, by day 3 I was giving head/ear scratches.

Ziggy (1 year old) is the complete opposite, a great young cat who loves to play and have cuddles (which I was more that happy to provide). Ziggy was never too far away from me and kindly brought me the gift of a dead shrew to welcome me on the first night.
Doug and Lisa have an absolutely stunning home, a cosy cottage on the outskirts of Stonehaven which is only a 5 minute drive away. The guest bedroom was large and airy with a king size bed, Lisa kindly cleared a couple of drawers and wardrobe space for me to use.
The only other responsibility was to water the garden ( which is beautiful with lots of sitting areas including a fire pit), if the weather was dry. Typically for Scotland, it rained at some point every day so that wasn't needed.

I would be delighted to sit for these adorable cats at any time in the future and would recommend anyone else to do so.
