Megan is a wonderful cat sitter. Nigel and Lizzie loved her, and were sad to see her go. Lots of fun time and active games; Megan even bought them a new toy and treats. I loved the photos and short videos she texted. I think my favorite was Nigel "helping" her knit. She trained Lizzie to get on her hind legs to get her treat It's obvious she has a good understanding of animals, and tailors her approach according to their personalities. I really appreciated that Megan was willing to drive from out of state to cat sit in Ann Arbor, and her flexibility in coming a day early so that we could go over things, get to know her a bit, and show her around our part of the world. She is calm, intelligent, and resourceful. For example, she capably dealt with a power outage. Megan was willing to stay an extra night at the end when our road trip plans didn't work out exactly as expected. After a long day driving home, we really appreciated the yummy homemade dinner she made for us. I highly recommend Megan. She would be welcomed back warmly.
John was great! His calm demeanor was very reassuring since he was dealing with older cats who can sometimes seem to be needy. Our kitty, Tiny , is still sitting outside of the bedroom John stayed in and meowing for him! His patience was so appreciated. Our home looked lovely when we returned and he was so nice to drive us to and from the airport. We would welcome John back anytime and give him the highest recommendation possible!
Within 30 seconds of arriving at our house, it was clear that Matthew was the right match for our boys. He immediately sat on the floor and welcomed them on to his lap (which is saying a lot since Max is an enormous gallumph). He bonded with them immediately and I've never felt so comfortable leaving them with someone new. Despite a blizzard that knocked out our internet AND the dog fences, Matthew stayed positive, helpful and resourceful. I never had any doubt that the boys were safe, happy and loved. I am, however, still a bit miffed that when I returned, the boys preferred his lap to mine. LOL. We would happily welcome Matthew back and hope that he would like to return.
