Veronica was so easy to work with when I had a last minute cancelation from another House Sitter. She came by to meet my pups and get a tour of my place. She arrived when she said she would on the day I left, followed my detailed food instructions (handling a dog with serious food allergies is no joke!) and texted with concerns about safety issues at our local dog park. It made me relax knowing she was concerned, aware and responsible. There was 1 evening when security in my building called about Chester barking for a long time. This is highly unusual so I was concerned. It turned out he was desperate to go for a potty break which made me wonder if he'd been left for a longer period than his bladder could manage. Veronica rushed home as soon as she read my text, so all ended well. My home was left spotless! The bed was re-made with freshly washed duvet cover, pillows and sheets and the floor was free of dog hair which is a special treat with 1 very hairy pup! I was able to return home and relax in my spotless place. Thanks Veronica. Well done.
This was our first house sit and we were a bit apprehensive. We were so wrong to be nervous as we were lucky enough to find Lucie “a house sitting angel!” Lucie looked after our horse and dog for two and a half weeks. She is incredibly knowledgeable about horses and our dog adored her. Her main priority despite it being her holiday was our pets and she clearly loves all animals. She speaks both French and English fluently which could come in very handy to international sitters. The house was cleaner than when we left it, she had bought flowers for us, she cooked us dinner when we got home after a long journey, (as a very talented artist) she had painted a picture of our horse for us!! All the beds were changed and the laundry was done. We were completely blown away!!!! We were so sad to see Lucie and her lovely family go, she is now a firm friend of ours and she is always welcome here in Rutland whether we are home or not! In summary, if you get the chance of Lucie sitting for you, grab it with both hands! Thank you Lucie! 5 stars all the way
