This sit was perfect for us! Rusty is a bundle of energy who loves to play frisbee and fetch in the garden, and there is a park a 2 minute walk away where we had lots of fun with him. Whenever he’s not playing fetch he’s happy to lie down and chill with us. Adam has a beautiful home that’s super clean and tidy and he was very hospitable. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend!

Ann
What an amazing host and pup!

I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time chatting with Ann before she departed for her trip. Ann gave me a warm welcome and made me feel at home. She is friendly, generous, and kind. She gave a wonderful tour of her home and gave excellent instructions for Tucker's routine. Ann is very detail-oriented, organized, and any questions I had were answered to satisfaction. In addition to her Welcome Guide, Ann provided a printout of supplementary exceptional instructions that covered care for Tucker, her home, and neighbors' contact information if I had any issues—I did not.

In meeting Tucker, he gave me a bark as to say, "Who are you?" "What are you doing here?" and "When do you leave?" 🤣 However, in such a short time Tucker became my shadow and newfound friend.

Tucker is so adorable, cute, smart, alert, enthusiastic, and is such a sweet boy. He enjoyed his meals and would not let me forget when it was time for his treats. He was easy to pill with peanut butter every other day. He was a true joy to be around and was great for multiple daily walking / jogging through the neighborhood for which he is a popular pup as many people knew him and wanted to chat / say 'hi'.

We enjoyed having playtime with his toys, hide /seek, and he gave many hugs / kisses. Tucker enjoys attention, loves affection, belly rubs, and loves cuddling. If he thought that I was not paying attention to him, he would look at me with his soulful eyes, paw at my hand, sit on my lap, or lick my hands/legs. It was always funny when I would get up from the couch or bed only to return and see him lying in the spot where I had been. It was also funny to see him look for geckos on walks and in the lanai. When I would leave the house for a little while and return, it always warmed my heart that he showed me that he missed me by running to the door to greet me, being excited, wagging his tail, and giving little jumps to my leg.

Ann's photos on her listing do not do her home justice. Her lovely home is beautifully landscaped, beautiful and inviting on the inside, immaculate, comfortable, and spacious. Ann provided every convenience such as paying attention to details such as having a stocked kitchen (she even provided bottled water) providing extra toiletries, extra towels, and doggy bags. Ann's home was the perfect environment to relax, the guest bedroom / bed was comfortable (with Tucker sleeping near) and the extra drawer space was appreciated. Her home is located in a beautiful gated and safe community with walkable sidewalks. Prior to my arrival, Ann had arranged for the gate guards to have my name for entry. She escorted me to the clubhouse whereby I could use the facilities which has an amazing gym with an indoor track which added to an enjoyable stay.

I am thankful that I had an opportunity to care for and spend time with Tucker—a fun and energetic pup companion. I missed him as soon as I left. He is a pup treasure and is very easy to care for. The only hard part to this sit (which I highly recommend) was saying goodbye to my newfound friend Tucker!

Gabrielle
I really enjoyed my time here. Rich and Gabrielle are both lovely and made me feel welcome in their beautiful home. It felt more like staying with family friends than strangers. Rajas is amazing – very bright with lots of energy, also likes cuddles. I miss him now I’ve left! We had some fun walks in the woods nearby. The location is great – plenty of shops and things to do right on the doorstep, easy bus into town, still feels quiet and close to nature.

Firstly, many thanks to Marga and Hannes for the invitation to the Housesit. The communication beforehand was already very friendly and extensive. I think we already got to know each other well on the phone. The welcome was extremely warm and we deepened our conversations over dinner, to which I was invited. I then got to know the house and Sina and Rosa, my two little "hosts".
Marga had prepared everything very well, the food for the cats, a folder with detailed information and lots of brochures with possible activities in the surrounding area.
All the rooms in the house were at my disposal, it is very well maintained, clean and very well organised - which also meant that it was easy to keep clean during and after my stay.
The cats were a pure joy! They are completely independent and free-range, but bonded very quickly and accepted me from the first moment. During the day they come in for a quick cuddle and leave again. Either to explore the neighbourhood or just to sleep in the garden.
All in all, it was a great sit! I felt very comfortable, my hosts were warm-hearted and very generous, so I would definitely recommend them. I would love to come back!

Mila and her husband gave me a great welcome and a very good handing over :) They were super helpful and generous. I truly appreciated how genuinely kind and generous they were. I am appreciative of our new friendship. They made me feel at home which made my stay unforgettable. Their house is beautiful. It is located in a safe neighbourhood within walking distance to public transport. With regards to, Smittens, he is an adorable cat. You easily get attached to him. I miss playing and seeing his cute face and those beautiful eyes. This was a perfect sit. I highly recommend it. I would redo this sit in a heart beat! Once again thank you for the opportunity.

Shannon & Joe
Shannon and Joe have a beautiful home and were incredibly hospitable and helpful whenever we had questions. Koda and Ori are sweet, lovable, and very cute. As they mention in their listing and welcome guide, Ori is still a bit of a puppy, and we recommend future sitters be prepared for this (keep things you don't want chewed out of his reach, and be vigilant for accidents), but his puppylike charm is hard to resist. Koda is a bit shyer, but we were lucky to meet her ahead of time and she warmed up to us quickly. Both dogs were excitable at times and enjoyed walks, fetch, and tug, but were also happy to cuddle up on the couch while we watched a movie.

Overall, we would love to sit for Shannon and Joe again, as there is certainly more to enjoy in Golden than we got to see in a few days!
