Once again Tom and Diana did an excellent job keeping our house in order and caring for our pets. As a matter of fact, we have invited them back again.
This pet sitting is my top 3!!! This was my first pet sitting at Kristine's house! The first contact with her was instantaneous, I knew right away that I had to go to her place. I fell in love with her daughters, Sophie and Farrah, and Sparky, Dave's cat. Communication with Kristine was very fluid. She had prepared me a complete document on everything I needed to know about the animals and all the activities at Idyllwild! Sophie is a dog unlike any other. She understands humans better than they understand themselves. She's full of wisdom and she's a queen! What can I say about Farrah? She's a ball of energy who wants to play and who helped me connect with my inner child. If you like dogs, they'll give you lots of love ! I won't forget Sparky who is a very sensitive cat who loves his independence. He loves to be cuddled when the time comes... I enjoyed communicating with Sophie, Farrah and Sparky! I miss you already! I highly recommend this pet sitting and I'll be happy to come back to your place Kristine and Dave !
There really are no words to express the heartwarming honor and privilege we feel each time we are invited into someone's home and treated like old friends. Teresa and Mark are exceptional hosts who made us feel extremely welcome. Despite arriving on a very wet, cold and windy evening the warm welcome and fabulous meal more than made up for it! Arriving the day before they left was definitely key as we were able to walk through all the animal routines so we could hit the ground running after they departed. It's a bit hard to say who were the stars of the show as all the animals brought their own uniqueness to the experience. The kitties were all very timid but they gradually warmed up to us by the end of the week and so they did enjoy a bit of affection and Smithy even enjoyed a cuddle or two. Gizzy bless her is deaf so she startles very easily but as our own cat is also deaf we were well versed in approaching slowly and from the side to ease her stress levels. Gizzy and Betsy are on medication but it was super easy to give them and we had no problems at all. The goats are hilarious and so affectionate and we really enjoyed walking them down to the bottom field and then racing back to the top field in the evening as they couldn't wait to get their supper! The sheep were actually new arrivals and were quite skittish but they adjusted well and settled more and more each day and actually got really excited to see us each day....or maybe it was the food!? The ducks were an absolute hoot, especially after you had refreshed their paddling pool, they just loved the water and the hens laid the best eggs! The house is beautiful as too are the gardens although it is remote so a car is essential but it's only a 20min drive to the coast in either direction so a wonderful location to explore the amazing Cornish coastline! This has to be one the best house sits ever so if you love animals and the outdoor life then it really doesn't get any better than this!
Chicken and Little were such fun and loving kitties with such character and personality. They were excellent companion while I visited family for the holidays in Oakland. The home is a peaceful, organized and beautiful. Shasta and Jen are kind and communicative, and I felt so welcome and cared for, which was absolutely not a requirement, nor do I think they even realized, but very welcome :) Thank you so much, it was such a blessing to stay there and I would absolutely do it again if they have the need!
Laurie was very accommodating and provided everything to make this 'sit' cosy and relaxing. Another home away from home in the company of her charming pug, Honey. Thank you for sharing your treasures in this most beautiful part of our B.C. coastline. Picture perfect.
A great sit in the Plymouth area, Emma and Ashley's home was a pleasure to stay in, clean, organized and a great location. Tilly was no trouble at all, came in for a visit in the evenings, spent the night, then out on the prowl again in the morning! Groceries and a pub in easy walking distance, perfect. Thanks for having us, N8 and Janice.
