Truly The Best House sitters Ever!!! Shannon, Travis and their son were absolutely terrific. I’m so lucky to have had the genuine pleasure of meeting them. Very warm, generous, open and loving people. My dog Wolfie usually barks at men who come in the house and I was a little worried about how he would be with Travis, but I had nothing to fear because within seriously 1 minute from Travis walking in the door, Wolfie was giving him kisses on the lips! I was so happy to receive their updates and photos and videos of my pets while I was away. They really went above and beyond taking terrific care of my many, many furry and feathered friends. When I got home, the place was sparkling clean, all linens laundered and beds made and they even left me sweet little surprises. I would welcome The Exums back with open arms anytime and highly recommend them.
We had the most wonderful time at Slue's home! Slue was an exceptional host. She was very welcoming, kind, and responsive. I only wish we had had more time together to swap travel stories. Slue's home is my dream home. The layout, location, and design were all right up our alley. Slue keeps the home immaculately clean and has clearly put in a lot of work to make it her personal oasis. We loved all of the amazing walking trails right outside of the door. The grocery stores, shops, and restaurants were all within an easy bike ride of the house. Bobae and Asya were ideal pets. They were easy to take care of and even easier to love. Bobae doesn't move very fast or very often in her advanced years, but she had a playful side that always brought a smile to our faces. Asya and I were immediate friends. She is independent, but also very affectionate when she wants to be. She would often sleep with us at night, laying one of her arms over me. I will miss her dearly. Overall, we had an amazing time and hope to be able to sit for Slue again some day. I can't recommend this sit enough. Thank you, Slue!
This was my first house sit and it couldn't have been better. Mary, Peter, and Red Dog made us feel like family from the very beginning of our sit. Peter and Mary became fast friends with my children and had many things to share with them. The home had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked and we had use of the washer and dryer which is a big help. Spending time with Red Dog was such a treat. She is the best dog I have ever been around. She responds well to your voice and walks great on or off a leash. You will be amazed at the temperament of this amazing dog. The downtown area is a few blocks away, including the plaza, so exploring this part of Santa Fe was part of our walks with Red Dog. The dog park is probably 2 miles away by car but very easy to get to. Red Dog knows her way around the park and I must say the park is amazing. You will enjoy hiking here as much as anywhere. Bandelier National Park is an easy day trip from the house. I would highly recommend applying for a sit here. I hope we have the opportunity to do one again in the future. Ron
Richard & Dee were the perfect hosts making us feel welcome & it was an absolute pleasure to stay in their beautiful home. They gave us plenty of information & couldn't have been more accomodating. Bear was a delight such a funny little character. We had a great time taking him on various walks & also on car trips. He was an angel, so well behaved & he knew his routine which we found easy to stick to. He was just so happy to be around you & cuddle up on the sofa. I would highly recommend this sit & being our first one it will be hard to top this.
I met Helen and Murray Prior to the sit. They were both very welcoming and friendly and communicated well during the sit. Ralphie was a delight to look after; I couldn’t get over how well-behaved he was for such a young dog. A most enjoyable sit in a lovely part of the country. Would thoroughly recommend!
The sweetest dogs, the sweetest people, and the sweetest location! The three giant dogs are great big loves and cause no problems at all. They were just a joy. Nougat did get a cut on her back while I was there and I had to take her to the vet. Birgit was supportive on the phone and the vet billed them and not me, which was quite nice. Birgit and Olivier did have a change of plans and our visit was cut short through no fault of theirs, but while we were there, it was simply marvelous! Both of them speak multiple languages, so communication was no problem at all. The house is huge, has a wonderful view of the city, has a huge garden for the dogs to romp in, and is right next to the forest. You couldn't ask for more than that!
Courtney and Preston were delightful to us. They took us in a day prior to the start of the sit, which was very much appreciated and made for a very smooth transition. Gave us a great chance to get to know Ty and Whiskey with them still around, making everything a lot easier. They were very open to us, and made sure we lacked nothing in terms of basics for our stay at their home. Even though they were very busy over their holidays, communications with them were always very fluid. Whiskey and Ty are the most lovely pair. Ty is very loving and enjoys spending time around people. Whiskey takes a bit more to come around, but after a few days he was already demanding pettings from us ^^ In general they are both very low maintenance doggies, are very fun to be around and easy to manage. They follow basic commands, and are toilet trained. Courtney and Preston's home is very well located within Munich. There's a supermarket 50 steps away, a subway station 3 blocks away, and plenty of parks nearby. This allows for many different walking routes for Whiskey and Ty, which is great when wanting to get to know the city. Thank you so much for having us Courtney and Preston, we hope to meet you guys once again in the future! We wish you, Ty and Whiskey the best! :D
