Sitting Dr. Don Pablo Dog for Hugo and Maria was awesome. Maria was already out of town when I arrived in Edinburgh, and Hugo’s scheduled flight was cancelled so his holiday departure was delayed for two days, which turned out to be a nice alternative for me from just having canine companionship. Hugo was extremely hospitable, and was an excellent tour guide as he took me and Pablo on a scenic drive outside of Edinburgh to a historic village and to a forested hike; he was a good friend during our three days together. This was my first visit to Edinburgh and it exceeded my expectations; it’s absolutely beautiful. And their neighborhood of Leith was equally delightful - everything you could ever need (parks, pubs, restaurants, shops, groceries) was within close walking distance - and it has its own unique history separate from Edinburgh (which was also a reasonably easy walk to get to). Their flat was perfect: roomy, comfortable, eccentricly decorated, well equipped kitchen, awesome location, beautiful shared lawn and garden out back. I could never say enough good things about their dog, Pablo, though. Honestly, Pablo is the smartest dog I have ever encountered. He can perfectly understand the English language. He obeyed every command, the first time. He knew to wait at road crossings until I gave the ok to proceed. He never was aggressive to any other dogs or humans; like Hugo told me he would be, he was completely disinterested in other dogs. But when other dogs were interested in him, he was always kindly receptive and gave a few moments of his attention to them and was playful. He went running with me every morning through and around Leith Links park, and despite never being on a leash, always kept with me, was never distracted away (even though there were always dozens of other dogs also enjoying the park), and, even if he was out in front of me, he heard and obeyed my instruction of what direction to turn and run to. At home he was an excellent companion, always full of love and happiness. In short, Pablo is a perfect dog. I will always consider him one of my favorites, and he will always have a place in my heart. I love Pablo like he was my own, and miss him very much. I finally got to meet Maria upon their return home, and she was just as friendly and hospitable as both Hugo and Pablo were. If you ever get lucky enough to be offered to sit for Hugo and Maria for Doctor Don Pablo Dog, do not hesitate and jump at the opportunity - awesome people, wonderful city, great flat, perfect dog. Thank you, Hugo and Maria for selecting and trusting me to care for your home and pet; I am forever grateful.

Kellen is a wonderful host I was honestly in shock of how kind a human being could be. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and his home is in a great area with plenty of things to do nearby. Dallas is without a doubt one of the smartest dogs I’ve ever watched she’s such an angel and will help guide you towards her favorite restaurants (trust her instincts she knows where she’s going) this is a great sit opportunity I would high recommend.
Jenny, Bob and Marsha were wonderful hosts! The home was spacious and welcoming, we loved our time here. The area was beautiful and filled with lots to see and explore. Jenny was always up for an adventure but certainly loved nap times too! She was affectionate as well. Absolute win of a trip and we are so grateful they chose us :)
Our sit for Amanda and with Samantha was a fab one. Amanda , from our first introductory chat was communicative and friendly. A lovely lady who went above and beyond to ensure our sit was perfect . Amanda’s Apartment is cosy and we felt very much at home there , the location is perfect with a bus stop outside the door and the tram stop a 4 minute walk away. A two minute walk took us to the well stocked supermarket in one direction and a lovely coffee shop the other way. A perfect location. We were there for two weeks and loved every day we spent there. Samantha…. Our lovely sweet Samantha behaved as though she had always known us. She was the sweetest dog and so very easy to love. Easy to care for , easy to walk , just a treasure. Saying goodbye to her made us both sad . We would thoroughly recommend this sit without hesitation , We would go back in a heartbeat. Both Samantha and Amanda are lovely. We loved it and have no doubt you will too. Thank you Amanda for choosing us 💕
Winston, Mia and GusGus are wonderful. Great pups, loads of fun. Loads of affection. Super easy to care for them. Winston and Mia are collies with more soft fur than you can imagine and they both LOVE affection. Winston is regal, Mia is a large lap dog and Gus Gus is small but he does not know that - they were all great. Free eggs from the 2 chickens was a bonus Andrew and Allison were great, welcoming. Great communication, very responsive. The house was comfortable, Madison was a cool city to visit. We felt welcomed into their home.
